Rob was initially elated whem he saw all of the hellhound chasers blasted to pieces by the war machines, but now replacing those hellhound chasers was the most terrifying menace humanity had ever faced, the chimera had suddenly arrived.

The huge multiple-headed abomination very briefly scanned its surroundings before it headed toward the flying hovercraft at breakneck speed. Rob's eyes could barely follow the chimera, but there was nothing he could do to stop it.

He could only hope that the reinforcement would survive.

Fortunately, the hovercraft successfully shot the rapid cannon that was attached on top of it and managed to hit the creature directly, causing it to fall to the Nevada desert and creating a huge sand cloud into the sky.
