As the sun rose on the eastern horizon, the previously crystal clear Cooks River was now filled with countless zombie corpses. Hundreds of mutilated body parts were visible on the surface of the river as a disgusting odor began to spread around the area, stirring up the stomach acid of whoever sniffed it. But what was most striking on the river was the bridge made by zombie bodies that connected each side of the river.
Even though 6 hours had passed, this fierce battle that took place on the Cooks River continued until the 50 meters deep river was almost completely covered by zombie corpses, making it almost like land itself.
Slowly but surely, the troops who were fighting on the riverbank led by Colonel Angus and Arief began to be pushed by the waves of zombies that kept coming. The situation did not get any better when the exhaustion from the intense battle began affecting their bodies and further decreased their combat capabilities.
