Kapitel 7: Situation Analysis

[You have entered the Tower of Beginnings 11th floor.]

I looked around at the change of scenery. The room was the same material as floors 1 through 9 however the layout had changed. The floor was no longer just it almost empty single room but now had multiple rooms. There was the room I started in and then two other rooms that were connected to it, by stairs leading either up or down.

I summoned a weapon in preparation of the enemies and headed to towards the room that led upwards as the exit in previous floors of the tower had been higher up than the ground.

Once I went up the stairs I could got a good view of the room.

While on the previous floors the enemies were made of stone and came out of the walls, these enemies, though made of stone, were now statues.

There were only four statues in this room however and all of them had an appearance similar to the boss of the 10th floor just made of stone and without the broken equipment. Each statue had glowing red eyes that exuded a heavy pressure. I was able to at least shake it off though.

Seeing the enemies were still made of stone I summoned a sledge and charged it full of mana And launched it straight at the closest statue.

I thought my attack was gonna land but it didn't the statue reacted and managed to use the sword in its hand to defend. However even if the statue itself didn't take damage its weapon did. The sword had half its blade shattered, severely shortening its effective range.

I'm surprised the statue managed to guard against my attack but I proceeded to recall the sledge at the back of the statues head and cracked it. The other three statues saw me eliminating a member and charged at me. Well two of them did the other went over to their fallen comrade and absorbed them into themselves.

Ah fuck. They can do that?

I decided to activate my newly gained skill and see if it worked like I thought it did. Now was a better time than any to test it. This situation can be dangerous though I'm not that worried about breaking through without the skill.

[You have activated the beginner level skill 'Situation Analysis' at the cost of mental energy.]

The system notified me of the skill activating and I suddenly felt everything move a bit slower. However that wasn't the important part, what the skill did was help me analyze the situation and make up a plan. Ideas went through my mind and I finally came to a conclusion.

I had been using my Gift to summon the equipment on my person. Why don't I summon equipment on the enemies?

I visualized a pair of boots that would fit on the statues with the glaring flaw of them being connected together by just a square block of metal and not having any joints. I summoned the boots not on myself but on the statues and what happened next looked pretty funny.

The statues that was already in movement tripped over and the other got stuck in place. The red glow seemed to grow brighter as the looked at me. I decided that now was the optimal time to finish them off. I summoned what was essentially just and anvil with a stick in it over there heads and let it fall down on them and crushing them.

I was told by the system I had gained experience and I took a seat on the ground. I had exhausted quite a bit of mana and mental energy and decided that I should take a quick break.

Once I was properly rested up I headed down to the lower floor seeing there was no exit on the top floor.

The lower floor had a similar structure to the top floor just that the enemies were different. The enemies were a swarm of hounds made out of stone.

When one of the hounds noticed me it barked and the whole pack came running at me. I wasn't prepared for it so I panicked a bit.

The time it took me to calm down was enough time for the hounds to get near enough to me to attack. One leaped up and was going to bite me however I generated a pole and stuck it into its mouth. Tossing it away from me.

I summoned a spear to keep my range longer than the stone hounds' range and stabbed and swung at the ones who approached.

This kept up until I had destroyed all the hounds but there was still no exit in sight on this floor. I headed back up the stairs to check out if anything had changed and something did.

A door had appeared on the wall and it looked like that was the exit. I went over and exited the 11th floor heading up to the 12th.

If the next floor had similar enemies I at least now had an idea of how to deal with them.
