Kapitel 10: Please, I just want to become an unparalleled existence and have lots of beauties with me- wait no I'm a girl-! I meant guys, not girls!
"Are you f*cking kidding me?" Jia Xinyue said in disbelief, whirling around to face Kian.
Kian took a step back, stuttering a little nervously, "Who's kidding me? I mean, what's kidding me?"
Jia Xinyue tilted her head in confusion. How could he not know what that meant?
Unless...
"Is it the system translator?" She asked, briefly wondering what it translated into for Kian.
Kian looked down at his shoes and replied, "Yeah, I think it is."
The reason why Kian looked down at his shoes?
He was trying to stifle his laughter. The system translator had worked perfectly, but he felt like cracking a small joke. His shoulders trembled from him trying to hold in his giggles. He knew the Ice Queen would come back if she knew. He pulled off a small prank a few days ago, and she only started speaking to him yesterday. At least, he thinks it was a few days ago.
Jia Xinyue mistook his trembling for him crying.
[Oh man. Oh sh*t. F*ck, I feel bad now, even though I did nothing wrong??]
Jia Xinyue sweat dropped.
"Let's go then. Show me where it is." Jia Xinyue said, grabbing hold of Kian's arm and rushing to the left of the wall, not knowing what to do but to continue on and hopefully distract him.
"Um-! It's the other way-!" Kian cried out, tugging his arm out of her grip and moving in the correct direction.
He moved quickly, trying to hide his tears of laughter. He didn't even understand why it was so funny- there was just something about her expression that moved him to tears, something about that awkward tension that was hilarious.
Jia Xinyue saw this and her heart ached. Was she too harsh? What did she do? He moved so fast so that she could barely see his face, but she swore she saw tears.
[.....Oh no…]
"Oh. Sh*t. Sorry." Jia Xinyue said apologetically, following behind Kian.
[Wait!! I shouldn't swear in front of kids!! Noooo!!]
Kian continued walking in front of her. Luckily, he had stopped laughing now. He hoped that she didn't notice, and it certainly seemed like she didn't realise. She was still as abrupt as ever.
Jia Xinyue suspected Kian to be a lot more mature then the persona he wears in front of her, however, she decided not to call him out on it. All people have secrets after all, and he doesn't seem to want to harm her.
They were both trying to achieve the same goals, at least, that's what she presumed.
Better to be allies then to plot against one another. After all, the fate of both of them relies upon each other. Only if they work together does she have hope of getting out and finding that motherf*cker Wang Feng...
[But he looks like he's only around 12-13 years old…]
She let out a deep sigh, looking at the small back in front of her. So small, yet it seemed unyielding and cold.
He looked so lonely…
Kian suddenly turns around with a bright smile on his face, making him seem like an angel. He seemed like a ray of sunshine.
"It's here, Big Sis!" He pointed to a screen in front of them.
Jia Xinyue studied the screen carefully, fireworks going off inside her heart. Finally, they found it!

Jia Xinyue gaped.
[What kind of BS is this? Isn't this too broken? What's the difference between golden fingers and god tier weapons? Who even made these peanut headed categories?]
Now, she was counting her lucky stars for Kian's discovery and the obvious 'whatever' method the person who created this system used! With these items, Jia Xinyue was certain that they'd be able to finish all the quests as quickly as possible!
Laughing lightly, she ruffled Kian's head.
"Good job, Kian. Thank you." She said.
Whatever he faced in the past, that was in the past. Neither of them could change it. But hell be damned, Jia Xinyue would make sure she'd take care of him as much as possible while she's with him. To show that she's not going to hurt him, that he can trust her.
She wanted to try and help him, to try to support him.
Kian blushed a little at the contact, looking like a lost, fluffy, rabbit.
Jia Xinyue clicked on {GOLDEN FINGERS}, curious at what it contained.
Inside, was all the golden fingers she's read about in novels! From soul replenishing liquids to golden seeds that grows along with the user, there were hundreds of different 'golden fingers'. These were the items that allowed so many main characters to rise up against the odds, and become the number one existence whilst finding their one (or many) true love(s)!
Then, Jia Xinyue happened to glance upon the price tag.
Please, just let her become an unparalleled existence, wait, she meant, just let Kian become an unparalleled existence and have lots of beauties by his side!

Jia Xinyue sweat dropped again.
She swore she meant beauties as in guys, like, you know, beautiful men, and not girls!
Don't you love it when you find something that suits your taste perfectly, like that one painting that would be great as a decoration in your living room-

Just when she thought she could take over the world, Jia Xinyue finds out that everything in the shop is ridiculously expensive! After going through the details of many of these items, Jia Xinyue found out that many of the items are one-time use only!
Spending so much money on these items, it's basically being ripped off! Jia Xinyue compared it to people who liked to buy big luxury brands like Gucci- bad quality, bad taste, and only lasts for a single season.
Basically, you'd be a fool if you bought any of the items.
For example, just a singular Spirit Replenishing Well costed 20k glory! 20k! That was… 4 zeros! 4 zeros too many!
Jia Xinyue wondered if the shop system had sales and bargains ah~~ She's just a little girl with no money trying to support her family in a terrifying world ah~
Kian watched Jia Xinyue's face change into a myriad of expressions, from anger, to shock, to scorn. She was completely lost in her world, her finger still frozen over where the {GOLDEN FINGERS} button had been.
He snickered a bit, having already expected this outcome. He had found the shop menu a while back, however, he wanted to test Jia Xinyue, to see if she knew where it was and would just 'pretend' to accidentally find it. Just like how she found the settings menu.
A system who doesn't even know where her quests are, where the shops are, is a disgrace to all systems around! Systems do not claim her, and hereby pass her onto the humans!
He tapped her on her shoulders, trying to get her attention back into this world.
She blinked, seemingly dazed.
"I'm gonna go into Lan Wei. Does Big Sis know how to treat his poison yet?" Kian asked, his childish voice echoing throughout the space.
Jia Xinyue shook her head, trying to clear her mind.
"Sorry Kian. Not yet. Big Sis will continue trying." She said softly.
A week had passed already, and they still haven't found a cure yet for Lan Wei's poison. The screen that Kian found only had some of his basic information. Jia Xinyue couldn't find any hint of the poison, the Spirit Flower poison.
"That's okay! Good luck, Big Sis!" Kian said cheerfully, making Jia Xinyue feel even guiltier.
[He must be in so much pain… But he's still this cheerful…]
With a zap, he was gone.
Kian gritted his teeth as he opened Lan Wei's eyes.
He didn't consider this to be his body.
He obviously had a good and proper body in the space! Kian tended to spend more time in the space then actually in Lan Wei's body, which made him unaccustomed to Lan Wei's body. To him, it was a foreign existence.
A maid nearby immediately came to help Kian into a sitting position.
"Young Master, it's time for your medicine. Master Lan searched the entire capital for this batch of medicine, one of them must have an effect on the disease-" She said, her voice gentle on the ears.
"Shut up." Kian said coldly.
"Just get me some food. Don't let it be anything too rich." He continued, much to the surprise of the maid, who had stood there, shell shocked.
The Lan Wei before, had often refused to eat his meals. All he did was stare at the wall with a dull, lifeless look in his eyes as the poison raged on inside of him.
But the Lan Wei now… His eyes were fierce and shining brightly, like a fire that refused to go out. An inferno, threatening to burn her to ashes with his glare. The maid knew she had to report this to Master Lan.
After bringing Lan Wei the medicine and some porridge, the maid left the room and rushed to pass on message onto a servant who worked at Lan Fei's manor.
Upon receiving this, Lan Fei scoffed.
"Shouldn't we be worried, Father? He might try and get revenge-" Lan Guang Ning started.
"Worried? Pah! He's good as dead anyways! What revenge can he get?" Lan Fei said, burning the note on a incense stick, the smell of burnt paper spreading throughout the room.
"What can he, a useless trash, even do? Cure his poison and join Jiang Academy?" Lan Fei spat onto the floor in disgust, "How can he compare to my son, a violet-level talent?"
Lan Guang Ning smiled.
"Of course, Father."
