Kapitel 11: Departing Gift
"Me? I'm Tian Zhenfei." The man answered Shi Li's question with a light smile on his face.
Seeing that the man was not fazed, Shi Li recalled the man's words and asked another question.
"What do you mean by this being your world uh..."
"Calling me Senior is fine," Tian Zhenfei retracted his aura and came closer to Shi Li. Although Shi Li wanted to step back, he could not do so in front of Tian Zhenfei since he could possibly die with just a flick of a finger.
"Anyways, what I mean by this being my world is that I crafted this pearl..." Zhenfei then pointed at Shi Li.
"Just. For. You."
Shi Li was dumbfounded. He only thought that he was lucky to find a heavenly treasure, but he did not expect that the heavenly treasure was actually tailored for him.
"Well...why did you craft this pearl for me, Senior?" Since the pearl was made for Shi Li, there had to be a reason right?
"Since you're only at the Tempering realm, everything I say will be useless if you listen but oh well," Tian Zhenfei hesitated before telling Shi Li his situation.
"How do I put this? So, your Senior is currently at the Veridical Immortality realm and is currently stuck at a bottleneck so he has to go under a life and death adventure to stimulate his potential in order to break into a higher realm."
Even though Shi Li has read multiple xianxia novels before and knew that cultivation existed, the names of the realms for every cultivation novel did differ so he truly didn't know how strong the man in front of him was.
But what he inferred from Tian Zhenfei's statement was that, he was currently at the stage of tempering his body, while Tian Zhenfei is already an immortal.
It meant that even a simple push of a finger on Shi Li would crush him into pieces.
"So how is this related to me?" Shi Li pushed those thoughts at the back of his head and asked.
"Since I'm going to go under a life and death adventure, I need someone to continue my legacy, specifically my bloodline."
"Is there something unique about your bloodline, Senior?" Shi Li asked.
"Of course there is!" Tian Zhenfei answered with pride, "The same exact bloodline flows within you."
"What?" Shi Li wasn't actually paying attention before so he only became surprised at this moment. "What kind of bloodline is it? Does it give me divine strength? Godly agility? Special abilities?" As if Shi Li had bipolar disorder, he asked this question with enthusiasm.
"My bloodline..." Tian Zhenfei followed Shi Li's current emotion and answered in the same way. "...can do all of that!"
Shi Li's eyes gleamed as he listened to Zhenfei's words. After a while, his expression turned into that of confusion.
"But only if you pay the equivalent price," Tian Zhenfei added.
Shi Li mulled over it for a bit and asked Tian Zhenfei, "Does that mean that I could ask for whatever I want as long as I can pay the equivalent price?"
"Exactly," Tian Zhenfei nodded. "As of now though, your bloodline hasn't awakened yet so you can't use it."
"When can I use it then?" Shi Li asked since a bloodline like that would possibly make him the strongest cultivator in existence.
"In due time," Tian Zhenfei acted mysterious. "Also you might not know this, but the pearl is improving your cultivation aptitude bit by bit so you could bring out the full effects of the bloodline. Don't be surprised if your cultivation seems to be faster than before, okay?"
Hearing that his cultivation aptitude was being improved, Shi Li couldn't help but kneel down and bow in front of Tian Zhenfei. He already had Quasi-World level aptitude, how monstrous would it be if he had World level aptitude...or even higher?!
'If my aptitude exceeds the World level, then that means I can become a Martial Emperor!'
Shi Li looked at Tian Zhenfei with a wide smile as he bowed down respectfully. "Thank you very much, Senior!"
"Not at all," Tian Zhenfei waved his hand as he chuckled. "Anyways, you shall inherit my memories though most of them will be sealed until you reach a certain realm."
Tian Zhenfei then came even closer to Shi Li and tapped on Shi Li's forehead with his finger.
Swoosh!
As if it was a storm destroying every building in its vicinity, the influx of information entered Shi Li's mind in a forceful way. At times, he couldn't help but hold his head while grimacing.
After a few minutes, Shi Li took a few deep breaths as cold sweat trickled down his forehead. Whenever he closed his eyes, he could look through the memories of three people: his own memories, the old Shi Li's memories, and Tian Zhenfei's memories.
Tian Zhenfei's memories were mostly sealed up in Shi Li's mind since it was useless to know all of them in the meantime, but for the most part, it was filled with cultivation and tips on cultivating faster.
Not long after, Shi Li opened his eyes and looked at Tian Zhenfei with a calm gaze.
"How was it? Did it hurt?" Tian Zhenfei couldn't help but give a light smile.
"It did, but I got used to the pain after a while," Shi Li answered as if everything was in his control.
Though it could be said that the memories of a person wouldn't affect another person's personality, Tian Zhenfei's lifespan was near infinite, and the memories Shi Li could access spanned around a few hundred years, so Shi Li felt like he could cope up with any situation thrown at him.
Even though that was the case, it wouldn't change the fact that he was still a teenager.
"If that's the case, that's great," Tian Zhenfei nodded. He then snapped his finger as a book materialized out of thin air. "Here, grab this."
Shi Li received it with both hands and looked at the title.
"[Grand Steel Will and Vessel Fusion Manual]...Is this a cultivation technique, Senior?" Shi Li couldn't help but ask.
"Indeed it is. But it is neither an internal technique nor an external technique for it is a technique that combines the benefits of both sides! You could call it an auxiliary cultivation technique since it acts as a support for both techniques," Tian Zhenfei nodded his head.
"Auxiliary cultivation technique...wait. How did you know I was cultivating both internal and external cultivation techniques, Senior? Plus a technique that has the word steel in it?" Shi Li was somewhat scared.
"I just searched through your memories, that's all," Tian Zhenfei laughed.
"Anyways, I have to go now," Tian Zhenfei added. "Once you reach the Qi Accumulation—er...I mean the Martial Master realm, more of my memories will unlock and some of them have techniques you might use. I arranged the memories of the techniques like a library anyway so you won't have to rummage through my memories by then."
After saying this, Tian Zhenfei started to dissipate into thin air, gradually leaving Shi Li alone in the space.
But before Tian Zhenfei could fully dissipate, his head was materialized once more and said, "I almost forgot. I left a three wisps of immortal force in this pearl for protection. Only use them when needed."
Whoosh!
And with that, Tian Zhenfei was gone.
Not long after, Shi Li felt sleepy and fell down with a thud.
