Some things were never meant to be explained, but was meant to be felt. Life was never easy to begin with. We all struggle just to survive with every ups and downs. We may tend to get confused most of the time but it doesn't mean that giving up is an option.
There may be a lot of downcast and unexpected occurrences from time to time. Emotions may sometimes feel like they're all about to overflow from happiness, sadness or anger but one thing should always be remembered the most and that is, how strong your faith should be.
It may be unfair but Aiden knows the risk that he established. He just wanted to get close to her in order to protect her and make sure that everything will go according to plan. But of course, not everything will go the way he expected it to be. He feels like he's having a taste of his own medicine.
"I'm sorry…Aiden." Audrey said apologetically.
Those words almost broke his heart. It was too sincere for him. He wanted to look at her and say that it's going to be okay but he felt tormented. He then decided to just say it than make it any more complicated than it should be. "Don't fret about it. It's…okay."
"I didn't really mean to betray you. Tsk…I'm such a bad friend." Audrey said.
Friend? Yes, the word itself impaled Aiden as if reminding him what he really is to her. He then fixed himself and smiled after realizing that he's such a fool. He then said denying, "No worries really. I understand the you just wanted to help Tiffany out."
"Are you not mad?"
"No. I'm actually relieved that you thought of this idea."
"Wait…really?"
"Maybe I'm too preoccupied searching for a girl whom I know shouldn't be with me. Actually, thanks. Maybe I'll give Tiffany a chance."
Audrey looked at Aiden and all that she can see is his broad back. Those were not the reply that she anticipated to hear. It's as though he was pushing her away in some certainty. She doesn't want to be thanked about something that she knew that she did wrong.
Uneasy, she held out a part of his shirt and pulled it gently with her hand and asked, "Do you really meant that?"
"Isn't it what you wanted?" He asked with his clouded mind.
"You're wrong. That is not what I…"
"I understand really. I'm actually sorry for making you worry…making you sick." He said cutting Audrey's words short.
"No! This is not your fault. It was mine." Audrey exclaimed for it seems that he's not making any sense at all. She also said that, "You don't understand. Let me explain." Something is wrong.
"What else do you want me to hear aside from the fact that you made me feel that I…" He paused, as he bit his lip. He wanted to tell him that he truly felt hurt at that very moment. He started being irrational, thinking that he should start distancing himself from her now for he's being too attached with her.
He was at loss and may appear to be not listening at all. If he listened to any of Audrey's words, he might not be able to separate himself from her. He wanted to use this opportunity to stop what he shouldn't have started.
For him, her life was already okay enough. He's afraid that if he didn't use this chance, he'll really end up loving her more than he already has. If that happens…he might not know what unpleasantries he might do to her.
"Listen please." She said almost pleading.
"It's okay. Really."
A moment of silence filled the room. Audrey wasn't really happy about what she just heard. It's not that she doesn't want Aiden to give Tiffany a chance, she's just not really comfortable with that idea. She wanted to say something but she doesn't want to be selfish for she thought that she might be out of line if she disagrees.
The almost deafening silence has been broken by three knocks on the door. It was Kylie. She indeed bought lunch. When she entered the room, she was welcomed by a death like silence. It made her feel nervous for the air seemed so tense.
She then said, "Here you go guys! Eat up while it's hot. I bought the most appetizing food that I saw. I really wanted to buy your favorite Audrey but it seems that you need to settle in for congee for now."
After eating, Audrey and Aiden still remained to use the silent treatment towards each other. Kylie on the other hand was getting agitated with how things are going on. She then remembered someone who had called her earlier.
She then told Audrey, "By the way Audrey, your brother called earlier. He said he'll be coming in a couple of minutes to get you."
"What?! Oh gosh. I almost forgot that I have a brother."
"That's funny. Because when I told him what had happened to you, he asked me who I was talking about. You two seemed to have both trouble remembering things huh? Such adorable siblings."
"It looks like that he also has forgotten that he has a sister, so very nice." She said sarcastically.
After a few minutes, Levi entered the room with such a rush. He was gasping for air when he opened the door. It looked like he ran.
"Audrey!" He said as he approaches his sister. He then cupped her cheeks looking intently at her making sure she as doing okay. He then said, "Kylie said that something bad happened. My freaking professor won't even let me leave early till I finish the reaction paper about the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Are you okay? Does it hurt somewhere?"
"I'm fine."
"What did the doctor tell you?" Levi asked.
"I think I was asleep the doctor arrived." Audrey then looked at Aiden who is now sitting at a chair besides the bed.
Aiden saw Audrey's gaze and said, "She had influenza. Her fever was really high earlier. It seems that the gloomy weather has also affected her. There were medications that were prescribed before any of these get any worse. Two days of bed rest was also required." Aiden replied.
Levi looked at him surprised and asked exasperatedly, "You. When did you get back?"
"Did you miss me?" Levi replied with a sharp stare.
Audrey was puzzled so she asked, "You knew each other?"
The weather is really cold nowadays. Keep warm everyone!

So...Aiden and Levi knew each other? Wew, there's a lot that is going on. I hope that Aiden and Audrey will make up though.
