Despite Long Jie's eagerness, he fell asleep with Song Luli, resting for a couple of hours until he stirred again. 

He woke up with a numb arm as Song Luli pillowed his bicep, sleeping. The blanket covered half her body, leaving the rest bare. He stroked her head, pushing her hair out of her face affectionately. It was still dark outside, but Long Jie knew that it was still late into the night. He then slipped from her grip, slow and steady, trying not to wake her. 

He went to find a small tap to let out some water, and he returned to clean up Song Luli's body. Afterwards, he approached the dying fire, crouching down to put more pieces of wood to keep the flames alive. He watched the pieces burn when he felt Song Luli wrap her arms around him suddenly, placing her chin over his shoulder. She tilted her head forward to face him with a smile, her face glowing.
