Kapitel 14: Chapter 14 Closeness
Kasey's POV
It's been week since onii-chan returned to Japan, and we barely talk because he was busy, as for my life in school and at house it was always the same I go and attend classes everyday and I was helping lolo in business, I thought that it might be good for me to learn on how to manage our business and so I can manage to help lolo and papa at our business like onii-chan does.
Everything goes smoothly this past week, and for Nice and I, I feel like we've became closer, we talk a lot now and I found out that like me his mother was already dead too, I also felt that whenever I'm with him I'm safe, and the others notice our closeness too.
"hey, Kasey tell us, kayo na ba ni Nice?, nanliligaw ba sya sayo?" ask Cherry
"HAH?!, what are you talking about?" what's with that sudden question?
"we've notice that you and Nice are too close this past few days ever since we came back from our trip the both of you became close" Denise explained
"ah" that's all I can say
"so tell us, is there something going on between the both of you?"
"ha?, what's with that?, there's nothing, di ba pwedeng maging close ako sa kanya, besides magkakaibigan naman tayo diba?"
"pero kasi parang kakaiba lang eh, iba yung closeness nyo" cherry said
"anong iba?, hay naku kung ano ano na lang ang napapansin mo, mauna na nga akong umuwi sa inyo, may gagawin pa ako" I said as I packed my things up.
"kasi naman di ba, ilag ka sa boys, you always freak out whenever they touch you, pero pag si Nice ang kasama mo hindi ka nagpi-freak out, tell us, anong status nyong dalawa?"
"Cherry, wala kaming relasyon, it was like what you've said I may be calm with him because he's my friend like the both of you and the rest of the gang, so don't think too much about it, okay!, I'm heading first, bye" I said as I leave them there.
Nice POV
"Nice, be honest with us, what's the real score between you and Kasey?"
Hanz suddenly ask.
"Score?, what are you talking about?"
"wag ka ngang mag maang-maangan Nice, tell us, nililigawan mo na ba si Kasey?, tell us" Krisstoff added
"Hah?!, bakit ko naman sya liligawan, saan nyo ba napulot yang idea na yan"
"wala lang napapansin lang naman kasi namin na masyado na kayong nagiging close ni Kasey at isa pa iba kasi yung sparks ng mga mata nyo pag kayo ang magka usap" Claude said.
"Sparks?, ang baduy mo ah, saka ano ba naman kayo mag kaibigan lang kami, okay, it was just we've been close recently because my father and his grandfather are now business partners and as we all know it was bad for the image of their business if the heirs of each party are not in good terms, besides Kasey was a good person so there's no reason for me to hate her or to be friendly with her and I knew that you all knew that" he explained.
"alright, alright, we got it" James said
"yun naman pala eh, tara na bilisan nyo na baka pagalitan pa tayo ni coach pag na-late tayo, mauna na kami James" he said
"okay, galingan nyo sa practice nyo"
Then we headed to our club room to change and start practicing since the inter-high baseball preliminary elimination is coming near, thus, we need to practice and train hard to defend and maintain our position as the champion among the other elite school we were competing with.
While practicing I can't stop thinking about what we talked earlier, 'do I like her?', 'is there a possibility that I am beginning to like and fall for her?' I thought about it.
And while thinking about it I had a weird feeling, my heart suddenly felt pounding/beating fast. And because I was thinking over my feelings I didn't notice the ball coming, so in the end the ball landed straight to my nose that causes it to bleed.
"Nice! Are you okay?" asked Hanz, who was right beside me.
"do I look okay?!" I answered sarcastically
"Nice maupo ka na muna sa bench" our coach said.
"okay po" I answered
Then they continue their practice. During their practices James, Kasey, Denise and Cherry were there to support them.
And thus, the competition came, everyone was so excited to see the result and to bring back home the championship.
"guys good luck sa inyo, and remember galingan nyo, lampasuhin nyo na yang mga yan!, okay ba?" Cherry said.
"is it even a cheer?" I asked her
"yes it is, tara na punta na tayo dun sa upuan natin"
"okay, guys, good luck sa inyo"
I said, then we proceed to our seat to watch the game, I was excited but on the other side I'm nervous, kinakabahan ako, paano na lang kung may maaksidente sa kanila pero wag naman sana, still I'm rooting for their success in this game.
"Kasey!, ano natulala na!" Denise shouted at me
"h-huh?"
"sabi namin tulala ka na, baka naman matunaw na si Nice sa kakatitig mo sa kanya, tell us, honestly, do you like Nice?"
Ano daw?! Do I like him??... I don't know.
"ano di ka na naka sagot?, does this silence means Yes?" Cherry said
"ha?, hindi ah, wala akong gusto sa kanya nyo, hay naku kung ano-ano naman pinag i-isip nyo eh, basta I swear wala akong gusto sa kanya, okay!"
"okay, okay, masyado ka namang defensive nagtatanong lang naman kami eh, tara na nga maupo na tayo mag sisimula na yung game oh"
Then the game started.
Inter-high competition was very intense, each team works hard to win, everyone was serious and focus on how to get a score. At di mawawala sa laro ang aksidente, few of our team member got minor injury but still they continue the game.
And after almost 2 hours of the game, our team still wins, kahit na masyadong dikit ang laban nagawa parin nila na ipanalo ang laro, that's why we are very proud of them.
After ng game dumiretso na kami sa locker nila para batiin sila at kamustahin na rin.
"Congratulations guys, you did a good job" James said as we entered the locker room.
"thanks bro" Hanz said
"by the way, wala namang injured sa inyo diba?" Cherry asked worriedly
"don't worry, okay kami, uhmm... Kung okay lang pwedeng dun muna kayo sa labas para makapag palit na kami at para maka uwi na din kami' Kris said.
"OK" we said
But before we left the room I saw Nice on the corner of the room and he look so pale, as if somethings bothering him, is he injured?, AY! ANO BA!, bakit ko ba sya inaalala.
Meanwhile, while we were waiting for them, Cherry got an idea, she suggested to have a party tonight for their winning and as expected they choose our house as the venue, but since it was for them and they deserve it, I agree to their plan.
We already organized everything, we already choose the foods we will be ordering all there left is for us to be at the venue.
As soon as they got out from the locker room we told them that we will be heading to our house first, but, the others insisted on coming, saying that they wanted to go home since they were tired and all there left is us ; Me, Cherry, Denise, James, Nice, Vincent, Claude, Hanz, and Kris.
But then, since we already planned it, there's no backing out, so we headed home to celebrate. We just ordered some foods and while on our way home we also bought some snacks from a convenience store, we will be partying since they won the game.
