"Hmp! If you're dada's lover then you should be Mello's momma but you're not Mello's momma so you are not dada's lover!" Little Melon crossed his arms but when he did, the phone fell on the bed. He quickly picked it up and placed it against his ear again.
"You son of a bi-
"Give me back my phone." A deep and low voice was suddenly heard from the other line.
Little Melon's face brightened up when he heard the familiar voice from the other line.
When Lu Yifeng placed the phone against his ear, he heard a soft sniff from the other line. "Huhuhu... Dada... who is that auntie? Huhu... Dada, auntie was so mean to Mello."
Lu Yifeng's expression darkened when he heard his son's soft sobs.
"Throw her out of here."
"Yes, master."
"Lu Yifeng! How dare you! I am your fiance, you can't do this to me!"
"I just did."
When the room quieted down, Lu Yifeng finally spoke to Little Melon. "Xiao Gua, Ignore her."
"Okay! if dada says so!" Little Melon's attitude changed in an instant as if he wasn't sulking and complaining earlier. He grinned happily as he asked, "Dada, where are you? Why is dada not at home? Mello was really sad without sleeping with dada. Mello will only forgive dada if dada brings Mello to the amusement park again!"
"..."
Xia Meilin was awake the whole time since she couldn't go back to sleep because of Little Melon's lively voice. He could have at least gone out to talk with Lu Yifeng.
She sat down and sighed. "Xiao Gua, your father is a very busy man."
Little Melon turned to Xia Meilin and pouted. "But momma..."
"I can make time. But instead of the amusement park, I'll bring you somewhere else." Lu Yifeng said in the other line.
Little Melon's eyes sparkled. "Okay!"
"Can you give the phone to your mom?" He asked with a soft voice.
The little boy nodded his head before he reached out the phone to Xia Meilin, "Dada wants to talk to momma."
Xia Meilin took the phone from him, "What is it?"
"My assistant will come to get you and our son. Pack your things up. Starting from today, both of you will live in my place."
Live together with him? Xia Meilin was still hesitant about the thought. She was not ready to live together with him.
Since Little Melon was leaning his ear against the phone to listen, hearing his father's words made him so happy. He started jumping on the bed.
"Xiao Gua, don't jump on the bed, you might fall," scolded Xia Meilin, sternly.
Little Melon stopped jumping and instead he went down the bed and ran to get his bag. "Pack things! Pack things! Mello's going to see dada!"
She sighed heavily when she saw how enthusiastic Little Melon was in seeing his father.
When he heard his son's voice from the other line, it made Lu Yifeng smile. His trump card was their son, of course, he wasn't going to miss the opportunity to take advantage of him. "Su Lei will be there before lunch.
She grunted in annoyance. What choice did she now have? He should have at least given her time to prepare herself from moving to his place!
"Fine." She finally said in defeat. "When are you going to be released from there?"
"Tonight."
"At once? You should stay there for a few more days until you get well."
Lu Yifeng smiled. A small and simple care from her could definitely brighten his mood. "Are you worried about me?"
Xia Meilin knitted her beows with his question, "Who's worried of who?" She huffed before she ended the call.
She placed her phone aside before she went out of the bed. She looked at Little Melon who was putting his picture books and his bottled milk inside his bag.
"Momma! Mello's ready to go!" He exclaimed with a wide grin on his face.
She raised a brow and placed a hand on her waist. "Really? In your pajamas?"
Little Melon looked at his clothes before he pouted, "Can't Mello go out in pajamas?"
----
After she told her grandparents that she was going to move in Lu Yifeng's place, they were worried. They knew that Xia Meilin needed to move out after she married Lu Yifeng but they were still reluctant to make her live with him though in the end, they couldn't do anything about it since it was part of the agreement they had with him.
Su Lei arrived before lunch and helped Xia Meilin in putting their stuff in the car's trunk.
Now that Su Lei saw Little Melon in person, he could definitely tell that he was Lu Yifeng's son but unlike his father, the little boy was lively and full of energy. The excitement could be seen in his eyes.
Xia Meilin and Little Melon was brought to Lu Yifeng's villa. Upon entering the big gates, they saw a big and beautiful villa. The villa was included in the country's top ten most luxurious houses. It has high securities and outsiders would not be able to enter the place so easily.
When they got out of the car, they were greeted by five maids and butlers who were standing in a straight line. "Welcome home, Madam, Young Master."
The head maid, Mo Jing, was a woman in her 40s but despite her age, she looked like she was in her thirties. She was standing proudly in front of the maids and her facial features made her look like she was a strict woman.
"I'll show you to your rooms, madam, young master," said she in a polite manner.
Xia Meilin followed her while holding Little Melon's hand. While they were on their way, Mo Jing was quiet. The two butlers that were carrying their bags was quiet as well.
All of them were trained servants. Because of Lu Yifeng's strict nature, it was only natural for his servants to be well taught.
Just like what was written in the contract, Xia Meilin was brought to a different room. The room has a pastel violet and white theme in it. It looked refreshing to the eyes and the room was perfect for Xia Meilin since it was covered in her favorite color. It was simple yet elegant. How did Lu Yifeng know her preference? Oh well, that didn't matter since he sure did a good job in his research.
Meanwhile, Little Melon's room has a baby blue theme. In the room, there was a small bookshelf on the side, it was as high as Little Melon's height and it was filled with picture books.
On the bed, there were three big plushies. The biggest was a black cat plushy, it was the toy that Lu Yifeng won in the shooting booth. A few inches smaller than the black cat plushy was a white cat plushy. In the middle was a small cat plushy with a mix of black and white.
Little Melon's eyes sparkled, he instantly ran to the bed and climbed on top of it. He pointed at the plushies, "Momma! Look! Dada, Momma and Mello!"
