Xing could hear around fifty men surrounding them and all of them were wielding different weapons and Xing could sense some of them having crossbows with them.

"Follow us or perish.!", the person clad entirely in black stood opposite to Chenglei and his deep, smooth voice had no sense of urgency but it had the imposing aura of an authoritative person that he is.

Xing who watched everything happening from behind the curtain, recognised that haughty voice. She wondered why Chenglei didn't recognise him.

"Hmpf!", Chenglei smirked as his grip on his sword tightened and he pointed his sword at the masked man in front of him.

Of course! This is how my Prince would react!

"Chenglei, let's follow Prince Kang...", Xing peeked out of the window and waved at Prince Kang who seemed to freeze for a second before composing himself.

Chenglei stared at the Prince Kang for another second and only got into the carriage after he saw Prince Kang acknowledging with a nod.
