Despite the sharp acceleration, the passengers on the ship barely felt anything due to the magical formations set on board the Oasis Seeker.
The skies were still relatively fine, but the Reality Rift that connected two realms was nothing to be scoffed at.
Without the help of magical formations to stabilise the ship, the period during which the ship was passing through the Reality Rift would be absolutely unbearable.
Within the Reality Rift was a world that did not abide by the law of space-time, where spatial storms cut through steel as though they were sheets of paper. It was only with the help of layers of defensive enchantments that the hull could withstand the harsh battering of the spatial storms.
But even with the magical formations and defensive enchantments, it was still impossible to completely prevent the ship from shaking when struck by a spatial storm.
If any individual were to attempt to cross the Reality Rift without a protective vessel, then maybe only the most powerful of magi would be able to emerge unscathed.
Resting deep within the heart of the Oasis Seeker, Kyle was naturally free from such worries.
Even as the ship tore through the very fabrics of space-time and entered the Reality Rift, there was not the slightest tremor that could be felt within the doubly reinforced King Suite as Kyle completely lost consciousness on his bed.
They were travelling at a ridiculously fast speed, but the distance to be covered was even more ridiculous. As a result, they were only expected to reach their destination after approximately a month of travel, depending on where they ended up at after passing through the Reality Rift.
Due to the unstable law of space-time governing the Reality Rift, the final point of exit might deviate slightly from the expected point of exit, but the difference was naturally nothing too extreme.
By the time Kyle finally opened his eyes once again, it was already a full day later.
This had always been the problem with him. Once he fell asleep, it usually took him a long time before he would wake up naturally.
Though in this case, it might actually be a good thing. Since he was literally stuck on the ship for a full month, his long sleeping hours would definitely serve to help him to pass the time.
Still half asleep, Kyle sat there in a daze for a minute before finally getting up from bed.
Now that he had his fill of sleep, it was finally time to go about exploring the ship.
Being such a huge vessel, one would expect the Oasis Seeker to at least have a decent list of activities for the passengers to pass their time.
Unfortunately, the answer was no.
The Oasis Seeker was a bona fide transportation ship.
In order to maximise the transportation capacity, there was very little space and resources allocated for entertainment purposes. The only things available that were even remotely close to entertainment facilities were the lounge and the deck.
The lounge was relatively small in comparison to the massive ship, only able to accommodate around fifty people for them to sit down and chat.
The deck, on the other hand, took up an entire deck, allowing passengers to actually see the path ahead. Of course, the shutters would be closed when travelling through Reality Rift just for added protection.
However, there was actually not much that could be done at these places either. As a result, most passengers usually prepared things that they could do to pass the time while staying within their own rooms.
Despite so, there was one point of interest on the Oasis Seeker that almost every passenger would visit – the restaurant.
After sleeping came eating, and thus the restaurant was the first place that Kyle had in mind upon leaving his room as well.
Being the main gathering point for passengers on board, the restaurant was optimally located in order to reduce the travelling time from all parts of the ship. Coupled with Kyle's naturally fast walking speed, it did not take him much time to get there.
The restaurant was perpetually packed with people, but the staffs were definitely prepared for this. Just as there were lots of people, there were as many seats and waiters available to cater to their needs.
"Are you here to dine alone, sir?"
The moment he stepped in, an old waiter was there to greet him.
"Yes, it is just me. Though I am so hungry that the amount of food I am about to eat might make you think I came with friends!" Kyle answered with a playful grin.
"This way please," the old waiter ignored his comment and simply answered with a polite smile before leading the way, bringing Kyle to an empty table before passing him the menu.
On the way to his seat, Kyle was carefully observing the food served to the other diners. So even prior to being seated, he had already roughly decided on his food choice. Now he just had to glimpse through the menu in case there was something even more tempting.
Picking up the menu, Kyle casually flipped it open.
But upon looking through the first page, he completely froze up in horror!
Desperate for salvation, Kyle quickly flipped through the other pages, only to fall further into despair!
This menu...was it for real?
His line of sight slowly moved down the list, sticking strictly to the column that stated the price for each item.
3 copper coins.
5 copper coins.
4 copper coins.
6 copper coins.
There was even an item that costed 13 copper coins!
This was the price for food on the Oasis Seeker?
One had to know that even a million gold coins could not match up to a single copper coin, so how the hell could this kind of price even exist for mere food?!
Damn bloodsuckers, there is no way this is legal!
