Kapitel 82: Know Your Place (2)

Li Xiuying was still alive. 

This wasn't the news that Lin Meirong was expecting to hear regarding the premeditated accident. After two weeks of being on the edge, the news about Li Xiuying's condition started to pick up on the evening news and entertainment magazines. 

How could she possibly survive that accident? Yao Qigang assured her that Li Xiuying wouldn't be able to make it out alive. 

She'd seen the news herself. It was big news before because of Li Xiuying's involvement. The news showed the destruction of five car pile-up halting the traffic and left damaged vehicles across the freeway while Li Xiuying's car was beyond recognition after being retrieved from the river. 

Emergency services were called to the scene immediately when there were reports of a multi-vehicle collision but the rescuers had a hard time rescuing Li Xiuying and Song Zexi who was being dragged away by the currents in the river.
