Sunders locked himself in the study for the next two days, during which Angor tried to talk to him but was rejected every time.

Meanwhile, Flora would occasionally enter the study. Each time she left, she moved so fast that Angor never had a chance to talk to her.

Angor was worried that something bad might have happened to his professor in the Nightmare Realm, but he wasn't going to meddle too much when Sunders told him not to. Besides, he just told Hobbiton that "everybody had his or her own business".

The Phantom Island was troubled by rain several times recently. Goode would usually come and ask Angor whether they should move the island to somewhere better, but the sky would clear up before Angor could make the decision.
