Kapitel 4: Resolve of Vengeance

Souta had robbed many merchants and Caravans over the week he had been sitting in wait for the sect to send disciples.

'I thought these guys would be more active but I guess that isn't the case, but in hindsight how long had those bandits been active before they were stopped' thought Souta sitting in the middle of the road.

He had started a fire and was boiling a pot of dried meat and beans, he had gotten very familiar with this routine. He had been acting overbearing during his time and was starting to grow accustomed to it luckily there was a river by the road so he had been able to get rid of the bodies of those he got rid of in order to get through his robberies easier, he was also getting quite the hall, money, fabrics, spices, precious metals and jewels, food stock. It surprised him at how fast these things were accumulating, it may not have been much in the eyes of the bandits but that was because there a whole village of them but he was a lone individual so this was a heap of wealth.

"Oh my that smells quite delicious" said someone bringing Souta from his thoughts

Looking ahead he saw three individuals wearing white robes with a emblem of a fist pointing up, he figured these were the disciples from the sect.

"Do you mind if we join you for this meal" asked the apparent leader of these three disciples

"Feel free there is clearly too much for one to eat" said Souta coolly

"We thank you for your generosity fellow Daoist" said the lead Disciple

Souta cupped his fists in a similar manner to the lead disciple before the three took a seat around the pot.

"You are quite brave fellow Daoist" said one of the other disciples a rotund teen with a beaded club on his back.

"I do not understand your words, how am I brave" asked Souta

"There have been reports of a bandit on this road, they say he wears an oddly styled armor and has grey patches sewn to his leggings and carries a thin sword on his back" responded the teen looking at Souta's apparel.

"I have seen no bandit matching that description, if I had he long would've died by my hand" said Souta

They remained silent for a while until Souta pulled three other bowls from the pack on his back and filled them with beans and meat from the pot.

"We have yet to introduce ourselves, I am Ginjuro of the flying fist sect" introduced the leader

"I am Liam of the Flying fist sect" introduced the rotund teen

"I am Lady Nagini of the Flying fist sect, will fellow Daoist" asked asked the third

"I am Souta practitioner of Ninjutsu" introduced Souta

"Souta that is an interesting name, I don't believe I have ever heard the term Ninjutsu before" said Ginjuro

"Tell us what does this Ninjutsu practice, a fist art, sword art, spear, or perhaps the staff" asked Liam in interest

"Ninjutsu is the complete practice of martial arts, we learn to use many weapons as well as our fists" said Souta

'There is no such godly school of martial arts and even if there is it can only be trash training so many different disciplines' sneered the three disciples mentally

"Souta would you care to give me a demonstration" asked Liam with a look of derision

"I can oblige you fellow Daoist" said Souta

"So as you have said you have learned to use many weapons" asked Liam

"I am a bit of a special case, I am proficient in all weapons" said Souta calmly

"So you are skilled using a club" asked Liam as he reached into a bottomless bag on his hip and pulled an iron club out

"I am, do you wish to spar using clubs" asked Souta remaining blank

"If you don't mind" said Liam tossing the iron club in a show of strength

Souta caught the club with ease before twirling it around his fingers, surprising the three.

Liam was now interested in this fight again as he charged forward with his beaded club and swung towards Souta only to find his club smashed to pieces and he himself being sent back from a blow to the chest, he hadn't even seen those strikes.

"I apologize fellow Daoist, I was not allowed to spar with others since my master died and this is my first time sparring with someone since" said Souta apologizing nonchalantly

"Oh so that is the case, your master must have been very formidable to have trained such a disciple" said Ginjuro

"He was indeed formidable everyday I had to be on guard for sneak attacks even while sleeping or doing morning exercises" said Souta shocking the three disciples from this tidbit

"T-that is a bit extreme isn't it, even when sleeping. Are you sure your master wasn't secretly trying to assassinate you" asked Nagini with a look of bewilderment

"He was, it was the most effective training method to keep me ready for any dangers when traveling alone" explained Souta tossing the club back to Liam who was now getting up.

"Your master sounds like a very eccentric person" said Ginjuro sweating a bit, he now understood they may have bit off more than they can chew.

"Fellow Daoist thank you for the meal but we must return to our sect" said Ginjuro bowing

"Oh but I thought you were to investigate me" said Souta as he stared at the three disciples seriously

The three froze on the spot when they heard those words, mentally cursing themselves for revealing the information in the beginning.

"No fellow Daoist you are mistaken, we were sent to handle a bandit but he is not here so it seems" said Liam thinking quickly

"Clearly brother you are a capable Martial artist, someone who would be well received in a sect" said Nagini catching on to Liam's words

"Oh then allow me to accompany you back to your Flying fist sect" said Souta causing the three to freeze once again.

"After all you are the first people I have met since leaving my masters cottage in these mountains" said Souta

"Are you sure you would like to join our sect brother it is not of high renown there are far more luxurious sects that would be better suited for someone of your talents" said Ginjuro

"I prefer low key, so let us be off" said Souta leaving no more room for debate

The three disciples felt their spirit leaving their body at these words, the undertone made it clear the only option left was to escort him to the sect.

They all nodded with smiles before turning their backs and crying tears as they asked the heavens why they had sent such a monster down into their midst.
