We drove for a few hours until we reached an airport where we were then rushed onto a helicopter.
"Stay safe, I will watch for your return," JoeJoe called up to me. I nodded and took my bags from her and then put the noise cancelling headphones on. The two boys sat in silence with their familiars in their bags on their knees.
~ 5 hour flight later ~
the flight was long and tiring, it got freezing cold half way through, the pilots wouldn't allow us to have any blankets because it was "part of our training".
As soon as we reached our drop off point, we took our headphones off ready but instead of landing, we were all shoved out of the helicopter by the co-pilot.
"H-hey! wait! ah-" I heard Zeke screaming as we fell, Tim manoeuvred himself so it looked like he was sky diving without a parachute.
Lucifer flew out of my bag and grabbed my shoulders, fighting against the wind, he managed to fly me down into the snow safely.
Tim created a slide of ice and he landed next to me. Zeke, however, just fell face first into the snow. He stood up and dusted himself down in a rushed manner.
"So..." he said with a dark flush of embarrassment covering his face, I just shared an amused look with Tim before walking in a random direction.
~ 1 hour of endless walking later ~
"Does anyone know where we're going?" I asked, pulling my jacket up to try cover my face a bit more. Lucius was hiding in my bag and wouldn't let me get anything out to warm me a bit more.
"Not a clue," Zeke replied, "if we knew, then this place wouldn't be much of a secret."
"That is a good point," I replied, more to myself rather than to him.
"What is it, Tim?!" Zeke exclaimed, I turned to see Tim tugging on Zeke's shirt. He then pointed up at something, there was a large cliff, and storm clouds coming our way.
"Perfect, a cliff and a storm. This snowy experience can't get any wo-" Zeke grumbled before his mouth was covered by Tim who just shook his head disapprovingly at him.
"Let's go to the cliff, there will be some kind of cave or a cut notch of some kind we can hide out in to wait the storm out," I suggested, pointing towards the cliff as the clouds rolled closer and closer to where we were.
We started walking as snow started to slowly dance to the ground.
It seemed that the closer we got to the cliff, the more the snow appeared and the harsher it became. I felt my fingers go number and number by the second.
"Not good, I can't feel my fingers," I say, my voice barely above a whisper, my throat getting dryer and dryer. My shivers wrecking my body with violent shakes until my legs gave way.
Falling to the ground, my body goes completely numb, I can't move or feel any of my limbs.
Two more thuds sound out on both sides of me, Tim and Zeke had also fallen to the suffer of the cold.
How ironic that I'll die in the snow when my power is in fact one with the snow.
After a while of lying around, my vision started to blur and go hazy but not so much that I couldn't see a pair of boots approaching us. I managed to move my head slightly so I could get more vision, a group of men were approaching us. They wore cloaks and warm clothes along with thick boots.
I felt two people grab me and hoist me up, people did the same to the boys.
The mysterious people spoke but I couldn't hear it over the ringing in my ears that was occurring over my sudden movement.
The man who wasnt supporting anyone turned around, his cloak being caught in the wind and snow. On his back was a single symbol. An X.
My vision blackened and I found myself floating in a pit of darkness. Where the only light was that single letter. The X. Forever will it haunt me in my darkness.
