100% The Dragon Emperor with her Mischievous Empress / Chapter 22: Discrimination

Kapitel 22: Discrimination

A whistling wind could be heard in a certain quiet place and every person whose attention were centered in one place, had a different priceless expressions on their faces.

Shu Ren, who were in the limelight, stood in front of the two beast that suddenly fainted because of him. His surroundings was so silent that it felt like everyone was a mute.

But the truth was, everyone become speechless upon seeing this unbelievable scene.

The soldiers were tongue-tied; Luwen's mouth twitched upon realizing that his bad premonition came true; while the person with the best awarding expression was the General.

At this very moment, the General had a very dark aura drifted from his body into the air, after what happened to his two Equine.

He felt like having stomp on a misfortune poop that brought him this bad day.

Supposedly, the General was on his way to find that run away horse, and only stop by the restaurant earlier to have his breakfast, but disaster after disaster came to met with his unprepared soul.

Now that he thought more about it, these two were the culprit for every misfortune he had encountered so far.

From the very beginning, that petite man who looked like a woman humiliated him in front of the public, and now his subordinate also cause his ride to passed out.

This provoke the General's anger to be on the verge of exploding, and this time, he use every ounce of his self control or else slashing them both would be matter of seconds.

It was his bad luck to have met them, but what the General didn't know was that this situations were caused by that naughty horse, that they had been chasing for 3 days now.

If he only knew the very root of this entanglement, he would surely be drowned with his owned tears, and the main perpetrator for all of this, was happily running from their grasped.

Hence, now after this occurrence, the General had totally change his mind on bringing along this two bearer of disasters and decided to freed them instead, in order to save himself from having met yet another misfortune.

...

They all stared at Shu Ren, while being curious about what really happen and what he did to make this two beast passed out.

And Shu Ren,who was the perpetrator, had a helpless looked on his face, while his two eyes stayed at the two equine on the ground.

He did not know what to do, so he could only scratched the back of his head while feeling guilty and turned his eyes to the General before moving it to Rae Gu.

After seeing his stupid expression, Rae Gu released a heavy breath and went forward to checked on those equines, though she may not be veterinarian, but still she had some basic knowledge about animals' care.

[As expected, the animals here had a different body structure compared to the animals on earth.] Sighing, Rae Gu's gazed turned towards the General.

"They are both fine, and they will surely regain their consciousness any time soon, so you don't have to worry." Rae Gu reassured the black face General who was now staring at her.

[Not worry? Who do you think cause all of this?] The General roared inwardly and his expression turned darker, when he saw Rae Gu looked so complacent, as if this has nothing to do with her. Controlling his rage now was much more challenging than being in a war.

On the other hand, Shu Ren had an opposite reaction upon hearing Rae Gu's findings. He sighed with relief and face the General.

"I'm sorry, i really didn't mean it." Shu Ren smiled apologetically.

For sure, he really didn't mean it. He had only leaked a little of his beastly aura, which only the beast in front of him could detect, but who would have thought that the Equines would react differently.

Only, what Shu Ren didn't know was that those equine was scared witless to see a noble beast in front of them.

Being a mount themselves, they had lowered their heads to this General, so for them, it would mean that they had betrayed their own kind.

Though the General was a mixed blood, which everyone wasn't aware off, except for Luwen, the equines, and his adoptive father.

But the equine still felt guilty having to serve a human General, will also mean that they were serving the human kingdom.

Also, they are afraid that this higher rank beast would kill them on the spot or marked them as traitors.

And since they still haven't found that disobedient son of theirs. They both wanted to live but having felt the guilt had stirred up their emotions further.

So, this made their thoughts conflicted with turmoil that cause themselves to lose their consciousness.

But at this time, what the equine didn't know, was that Shu Ren didn't mind it at all, though there are human hunters who would hunt and kill a beast, there are also those who are kind-hearted and would feel for them.

Just like any other beast, there are those who are good natured, and aside from it, there are also those wicked and greedy beast who only thought about themselves.

So, if there were a beast who would serve or even fell in love with other races, as long as it won't endanger their kind, the beast race, especially the Dragon Emperor and his subordinates won't mind, except for those who stick to their own ideals though. And since it is their choice, they had to stand up for it.

But this case was also different from the human's thought, as an idea was already planted in their mind that a beast will always be a beast, a ferocious and bloodthirsty kind that won't think twice to kill.

Accordingly, If they saw a mixed blood, they would looked down on them or trashed them, or some might even go for the kill, as it would dirtied their eyesight to see a mixed blood.

Therefore, those mixed bloods would usually go to the border of the Beast Kingdom, and seek for asylum.

Just that, what humans didn't know was, this discrimination all started when those who seated in the throne and those who serve him, was greedy for power.

Hence, this brainwashing has continued to be passed down to generations after generations for centuries.

...

Meanwhile, after Luwen saw that the General's face turned darker. He went forward to pacify the situation, before this time bomb would explode and do something irreversible. "Okay! You both can go now."

The General decided to shoo them away, and just let Luwen do the talking. Else, if he had a further conversation with this two, the last string that was holding his rationality and patience might surely snap.

From this moment on, he doesn't want to have anything to do with this two anymore, otherwise he will be the one to suffer again.

Their entourage already had to delay their departure because they had to wait until this two equine gain their consciousness.

So, letting them go now, was the best choice, before another incident may happen, if he let them spend more time staying here.

Whereas, Rae Gu and Shu Ren looked at each other with a dumbfounded looked on their faces. They never would have thought that the General would let them go just like that, so, Shu Ren hurriedly bowed and pulled Rae Gu out of this place before the General change his mind.

The General gazed turned on their departing backs and thought that after this, he would never be entangled with those two, but what he didn't expect was from this time on, this chance meeting today was pre-destined and their lives was already tied up by their fate.
