Kapitel 33: Reverse Mountain

The city plaza which used to be bustling with people is currently empty, periodically shock-waves spread out scattering rumble and dust. A gigantic ape could be seen exchanging blows with a young woman resulting in these shock-waves, the difference in their size made it seem like the ape was trying swat a fly.

The massive size and power granted by the ancient devil fruit was fully on display as Kong raged about swinging his huge arms trying to overpower and blow away anything on his way but his opponent seem to possess even greater speed and strength as she dodged every one of his blows and retaliated back with immense force.

Rin dodged the wide swings of the ape in front of her and lunged forward delivering a powerful spinning kick that sent the huge gorilla staggering back.

Although the Capt.Kong's devil fruit granted him strength and power it was no match for Rin. As a member of Fanalis her tiny body contained tremendous amount of strength, her bones were far denser than humans and her muscles were like twisted metal fibers.

None of the marines present could even come closer due to the shock-waves that were released from their clash. And the result could be seen as the battle progressed, a few minutes in to the exchange and Kong's enormous body was already riddled with wounds as he panted heavily, his gigantic form seemed have to just made him a bigger target for Rin's powerful kicks and blows.

Even as the captain was catching his breath Rin was preparing to end this fight as she didn't want to make Nate and the others wait for her. She hunched down on all fours before rushing across and closing the gap between them at high speeds while lightly coating her legs with Armament Haki following which she rammed her leg into the captain's unguarded stomach. Although Kong was able to react to the incoming danger he failed to block it as it was too fast.

The attack sends Capt.Kong flying across the plaza into some buildings while he tries his best to stay conscious, he never expected someone this strong existed outside of the GrandLine.

"You better stay down, you can't defeat me." Rin said monotonously

"I..I will..not let you escape!!" gasped out the captain "Justice..Justice will prevail!!!"

Seeming this Rin just silently shakes her head after which she rapidly inhaled and then roared releasing a series of sound waves that spread throughout the plaza.

"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The high frequency sound rapidly caused all the marines in the plaza to lose their consciousness, including even the captain whose seemed have been affected the most as his enhanced hearing ruptured his ear drums.

Having knocked out all the marines Rin just left the plaza and back tracked the way she and Nate first took and reached the port only to see a large number of marines unconscious all over the place and the crew standing on the ship.

"Alright, Rin is here. Let's set sail." said Nate.

The ship soon undocked from the port and left as many people including both civilians and other pirates watched open-mouthed the aftermath they left behind.

This was just the beginning of a storm that will soon rage and shake the seas of the GrandLine.

The Reverse Mountain, is an extremely tall mountain at one of the points where the four Blues meet and is one of the two known entrances to the GrandLine the other being the Red Port that is controlled by the Marines. Since it was impossible for pirates to enter the GrandLine through Red Port, Reverse Mountain became the only entrance available for them.

It is a unique place in that rivers from all four Blues flow up the mountain, meet at the top, and then flow down into the Grand Line. Many pirates entering the Grand Line die before they can even get up to the top of the mountain, because the hostile water currents and storms force them to crash into the mountain walls.

As the their ship grew closer to the RedLine, Nate marveled at the size of it while Rin shouted out instructions to Sasaki and Soma as they need to be prepared in order to successfully make it through the turbulent streams of the river that scales up the mountain. Few minutes later Rin spotted the entrance to the Reverse Mountain.

"Captain, we are nearing the entrance and the sea current will be getting really turbulent but we will need to ride on it if we want to sail up the mountain."

"Alright, I will handle the helm while Soma and Sasaki can handle the sails and you can stand by in-case of emergency." said Nate as he walked over to the helm while others accepted their orders from the Captain.

Nate could still vaguely remember the Straw-hats having trouble because their controller for the rudder broke due to the extremely strong current. As Nate took over the steering wheel their ship entered through the entrance, he started to use his Armament Haki to harden and enhance the wheel and its components which will keep them from breaking and help them ride the current much more smoothly. Although hardening of this scale is exhausting, he will be able to handle it for few minutes that is more than enough for them to sail over the mountain.

The ship rapidly started to sail higher and higher as the currents carried it to the clouds that's covering the peak of the Reverse Mountain hiding it from view.

GrandLine awaits!!!
