Kapitel 116: Euphoria

He grasped the wine bottle kept on the bedside table and gulped it down like water.

After he drank the whole bottle, an unknown sense of euphoria overwhelmed his senses. All of his frustration and anger disappeared, along with each gulp of the bitter wine.

In a few seconds, his eyes turned ink dark and daunting. He stared in space with those deep and bottomless eyes, revealing oppression like an endless vortex that sucked souls. They were slightly misted over, hazy because of the wine.

The door unlocked with a 'click.' A glimpse of Clara was enough to send his blood boiling.

Clara came into his view as soon she stepped out of the bathroom.

She was naked! Her pale skin stood out against the dark wallpaper of the room. Her eyelashes fluttered, nervous for a split second. But

'Good things will come to me,' she comforted herself and walked to the man who looked dangerous and unapproachable at that moment.
