Kapitel 24: Time to Wake Up! 3
On the side of Lucas
Looking at the distance, a monstrous army of gigantic primates finally arrived. The majority of the army consists of 2 to 3 meters tall underlings.
He could see their tiny silhouettes on top of his tower. He could see that the hordes stop when they reach the five hundred meters mark, he could see a man on the head of the primate swinging his sword and pointed in his direction.
Long range attack? No, just after a minute they decided to charge straightforward! Lucas pulls out a shrink and braces himself, "Come on Lucas, they're just cannon fodders, don't let those giants watch while their underlings fight!"
Swish! Swish! The spike stone whistles in the air and smash the alphas head, it was fun, killing is fun, the scene of giant creatures dies every time he makes a move left him satisfied.
But it did not last long when he heard an explosion near him, behind the Wall of Despair. He was alerted, but his alertness did not help to heightens his reaction speed!
Bang! Bang! The explosion shook the tower that made him lose his balance, "S-sh*t! That must be the queen! arg!"
He panicked and almost fall from his tower, he bent down his trembling knees to calm his self first. But when he lifted his head the battlefield is already turned into a mess. Dark red gas surrounded thousands of jack orangutans, melting their flesh and dehydrating their body and turn them into mummies! looking how successful the traps he made let him regained his confidence and send a barrage of projectiles.
Three, Nine, twelve, without any priorities of slaying the alpha first and killing as many as he can, before the queen is fully restored her energy and throw another barrage of a bomb.
Just as he expected, a barrage of bomb volley's in the mid-air, but he did not expect that the accuracy of the queen is monstrous, she wants to kill him directly!
"Lucas!"
A scream from behind woke him up and helps him to escape the explosion, he looks behind him to check who shouted his name, the source of the voice made him gasps in astonishment, "Ranrem?! What are you doing at this place!?"
She looks around and discovered a blurry red reflection from the wall of glass, she pulls out her arrows while her hands are trembling, "I-I don't know, I was awakened by strong earth tremors and a series of explosions... Lucas, where's the rest?"
"Y-y-you? Where are you sleeping?! Shit, go back inside the dome!"
"I can fight!"
"Hell no! Look at yourself, you can't even hit a target while trembl- f*ck!" He cursed when he saw her aiming at his head seriously and distinctly bent his body to avoid her arrows.
Swish! Bang!
A cold wind blew a yellowish smoke behind him from the explosion, wait, do her arrows produce an explosion?
Bang! Bang! The explosion was followed by two consecutive explosions and shook the ground, Ranrem bit her lips while pulling another arrow, "I-I can shoot accurately."
Lucas slapped his face and felt terrible being save by a girl, " You! Huhh, okay. Just keep yourself safe okay?"
"Hmm!" She made a fighting pose and step back to have a wider space.
Lucas has lost his source of spike stones, and producing new one is just a waste of time. He can't let the fight last longer, the smoke wall that interrupts them to advance won't last that long.
He went out of the wall while Ranrem were following closely and stays passive, he looks around the field and inspects the current situation, they are still two hundred meters away from the wall, which means that he still has 150 meters of defensive line.
He put away his shrink lace and equipped his right hand with his hoe and shrink gloves on his left. (What to do? If I throw projectile from here, it'll lose it's speed before it hits the target.)
He looks into a distance to think of a solution, but instead of an answer, a problem cam. He saw a streak of light and landed near him, a bloody mud color spear! This, this is the spears I made, the chili breaths are slowly dissipating, they finally able to pull out the spear from the pit!
He reaches the spear with his left hand and turned into a pointed stick. An idea suddenly pops out of nowhere, "Ranrem, come over here!"
"Ye-yes!"
"Put this gloves on your waist for a bit, go back inside and lean into the wall, no buts! Go!"
She was reluctant to leave at first but looking at how smiling face convince her to go. She hurriedly runs and hides behind the wall.
His current location is unknown to the queen that stops her barrage of attacks, making sure that they have enough energy to counter him.
He lurks on the field, 50 meters away from the wall, waiting for the horde of jack orangutans to throw his earth spear back to the wall.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Not long after, a series of ear-piercing sounds made by the collision of the glass wall and earth spear rang in the battlefield, the alphas aimlessly throw the spears which made his head hurt. One of this spears might pierce on his body anytime, which made heightens his focus and evasiveness.
He collects every spear that enters the 50 meters mark and ties them using his shrink lace. The battle progress slowly since Lucas decided to remain passive, waiting for a chance to fight back.
But this also means that the defensive line will be thinner and thinner! Even though he is not the only one who suffers, the opposite party still has the Queen Melon, and King Tar which puts him into a disadvantage.
The time passes by and they finally broke the 125 meters defensive line. But not long after the surviving jack orangutans charges towards the wall to activate all the final traps.
Run! Lucas runs as fast as he could, rushing inside the wall while holding his breath. This is shit, this is so sudden! He gritted his teeth and stomps on the ground feeling bitter.
"Ranrem, there's only 30 of them left, together with the king and the queen. hah!" While talking to her he made his hoe shrink and cut the other end of the spear like an arrow, "Be a look out for a minute, the chili breath is thick, it will give us more time to prepare!"
"Okay!"
She peeked at the outside and look after the situation, the silhouettes of enormous planteros waiting behind the wall of crimson colored gas, seems like waiting for the smoke to dissipate. They're ruthless, they used their comrade's body to fill the traps and use as their bridge to close in the wall.
After a few minutes, Lucas is done on his work. And at the same time, the other party could charge to them any second now.
"Want a kiss after this?"
"..."
"Okay, if you really want to, use the gloves I gave you to shrink this spears and use them as your arrows, okay?"
"Hmm!"
After she nodded, Lucas removed his gloves and equips with his hoe and hammer to charge outside of the wall. Ranrem hides behind the wall and chooses the role of a sniper, taking any chance to shoot arrows on her enemies.
The time finally comes and the wall of gas finally dissipated it revealed the 28 towering alphas and the king orangutan who is hiding from behind.
"I-It was you!" Elmico pointed at him while his hands are trembling in anger, he turns back and looks at the father and son tandem, "You guys already know about this right? You're just pulling me into our problem!"
Marcus shrugged his shoulder and wave his hands saying that he was innocent, "What problem? We don't even know that it was him!"
"Yeah, we don't know! Well since we have lost so much now, we have to kill him right?" Rezmon makes a suggestion while denying the truth that he knows it.
"Tsk! Your right, but I won't let this pass! I lose twice thrice the force you brought!"
"Yes, yes! Well, Tar, now!"
"Groaaaaar!" blag! blag! blag!
Tar better his chest and commanded the alphas to make their move, with a stomp on the ground they leap half of the distance and made a huge wave of wind that sweeps the sands and small stone on the ground.
But they have a huge flow, Lucas dashes forward and close to them instead of staying on his position to counter-attack. But this their flow, this is his chance.
Their enormous size made it hard to stop their momentum, Lucas swings his hoe to cut their limbs and dives to the ground uncontrollably.
"Uwwwoooooo!
The alpha scream in pain, pain from losing his limbs and hitting his face to the ground, his whole body that is usually color yellow is tainted with blood.
"Prepare to die, bitc*es! Hiya!"
He leaped to the limbless orangutan and bang! He pulverized its head using his hammer, and an instant death without blood!
But the 27 alphas are not afraid, instead, they were mad, they begone berserk while looking at their comrade die!
Uwwoooooooo! Blagag blagag!
They are like a berserk monster charging towards him with their four limbs, but instead of progress, this makes it easier for Lucas to survive. Blam! Blam!
Their titanic body collided and hinder their movements, Lucas did not lose the chance to slay them! Either he beheaded them or pulverize their head it only took him, a second!
There's also some who dies from a spear that suddenly pops out of nowhere, the enraged orangutans make it easier to slay them, "What are you doing!? Shit, there's someone behind the wall, quick hide!"
"What hide!? Go and ride Tar! We have to run!"
"Dad! How about the Queen?!"
"Let her die! Our lives are way important than that worthless sh*t!"
The trio left using King Tar as a mount, leaving the tied queen behind as a shield. They did not even think a second and decide to dispose of her, what kind of person are they?!
"This, haha! Worthless you say?" Lucas said with a crisp on his voice, he swings his hoe to kill the last Alpha jack orangutan and run after them, "You guys, does not deserve to live another day!"
King Tar's limbs are damned long and travel 10 meters per second, but it was nothing to him, using the dead bodies of jack orangutans as a trampoline, he accelerates and catches up to them in no time.
Chug! Grooooooooar!
Lucas chucks down his hoe and managed to scrape a piece of flesh on the king's limbs to make them slower, the king wail in pain, and turn around to look at him.
"Tar! What are you doing!? Run!-- hi!" Tar grabbed Rezmon who's shouting on his ear and throw his on the ground.
"" Shit! ""
Marcus and Elmico cursed and jump from Tars back, they run as far as they can while letting Tar face Lucas.
Tar's eyes are red from rage, he's gone berserk! He swings his thick arms to slam Lucas down.
Lucas didn't back down and charges in Tars abdomen, evading his attack and delivers a chop from his hoe.
Splash! Guhhoooo!
Tar's wound sprays a lot of blood and covered Lucas whole body, he steps to the side and made final touches before he kills it, he pulverizes its arms and legs before finally chop his head.
After he killed Tar, he went after them with a more terrifying look!
"Damn it! Damn it! It's your fault, Marcus!"
"What---" Marcus tried to reply but before he ends his words, his body fell to the ground, without his head! It's been pulverized!
"W-w-wahhhh! Shit! If I'm going to die, I might as well drag your companions! Zan, kill them--kuhak!"
The chase reached meters away from the dome, even though the last person finally died, he can't hide his fear after, Elmico's last words. He turned around to look after the dome, but something not right.
A hundred meters away, left of the dome, a king size orangutan are charging to the dome,
Suddenly his chest become right and he seems can't breathe properly, and his body is trembling, he kneeled to the ground. With tears on his cheeks, he felt desperate, why all of sudden? He stood on his feet and dash back to the some, "No, Ranrem, run!"
