Kapitel 27: Teams
The next day, Chojusen woke up equally excited as the previous day and went to the academy just as early. He sat on the middle section of the lecture hall style classroom and waited for his teacher to announce what the teams would be.
When the time for class to start came, the teacher entered the classroom to find a bunch of excited preteens. He said "Quiet down!" After the room was dead quiet, he started speaking again "Now for the teams..."
He took out a paper and started calling out a bunch of names. No one of importance to Chojusen came up until the teacher said "Team 6 or will be composed of Neji Hyuga, Kimimaro Kaguya, and Haku Kori. Team 7 will be composed of Naruto Namikaze, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno. Team 8 will be composed of Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame. Team 9 will be composed of Chojusen Akimichi, Ino Yamanaka, and Rock Lee. Team 10 will be composed of Choji Akimichi, Shikamaru Nara, and Karin Uzumaki. Team 11 will be composed of Tenten, Sai, and Akiko Uchiha. Team 12 will be composed of..."
When the teacher finished calling out the teams, the door to the classroom opened and everyone met their Jonin teachers… except of team seven. Even after everyone met with their new Jonin leaders and left the classroom, team seven was stuck waiting for their Jonin to show up.
Chojusen's teacher was marvel to look at. He was a carbon copy of Lee, from his body to his clothes, only he looked like what lee would grow into in a couple decades. Team six had a scary purple-haired woman as their teacher, team eight had a black-haired beauty as their teacher, team ten had a bearded man as their teacher, and team-eleven had a stoic brown-haired man as their teacher. When team seven finally met their teacher, hours after everyone else left, they met a white-haired man with a nonchalant attitude.
Chojusen, Choji, Shikamaru, and Ino didn't know this but their parents had gone to Minato's office the day before to discuss who they would split up their children into teams. Usually there would be no problems and all clan heirs would be on the same team; their clans were after all renowned for their, Ino-Shika-Cho formation and highly compatible fighting style.
However, there was a problem now, since Choza had two kids. Now they had to either isolate one of Choza's kids or split up the formation. In the end it was decided that Chojusen would be partnered up with either Shikamaru or Ino, and Choji would be partnered with the remaining person.
Ino's father, Inoichi, was actually the one who pushed for Ino to be in Chojusen's team. Like any reasonable ninja, he was pragmatic in his reasoning and everyone present during the time they were discussing this splitting up knew what he was doing. Putting Ino in Chojusen's team would make it easier for her to be in contact with Chojusen and they could might enter some sort of relationship after going through potentially life threatening missions together; what father (in a shinobi world) wouldn't want their daughter to be with a powerful partner? It wouldn't be that out of place if Chojusen and Ino fell in love with each other now that they would be in constant contact and were around the age to hit puberty.

After meeting with his teacher, Chojusen and his team went to a restaurant to do formal introductions. Their teacher said "This time the food's on me. Now I'd like to know a bit more about your guys' personality. I'll start off with my introduction. My name is Might Guy, I'm 25 years old, I like training my body, and I dislike people who give up, because something is hard. I wish to become the strongest taijutsu expert to ever live."
Lee volunteered to introduce himself next, he said "My name is Rock Lee, I'm twelve years old, I also like to train my body, I don't really have any dislikes. I wish to be a skilled ninja even though I can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu."
Ino went next "My name is Ino Yamanaka, I'm eleven years old, I like flowers and a certain boy… and I dislike people he mistreat flowers. I wish to have a nice family one day."
Chojusen went last "My name is Chojusen Akimichi, I am eleven years old, I like training with all my friends, and I hate people who threaten the safety of my friends and family. As for my ambition… I guess I don't really have one other than to be strong enough to protect everyone I care about."
Team 9 ate their barbecue, and before leaving, Guy said "Tomorrow we meet in Training Ground No. 4. You may not know this, but you still haven't become official Genin. You must pass the final test tomorrow to become real Genin."

The next day, Chojusen went to Training Ground No. 4 very early in the morning. He didn't feel like walking, so he asked Chokogo if she could fly him to the location. Chokogo couldn't be happier that Chojusen wanted to use her for something. All this time she was suppose to be his lifelong butterfly companion and they were suppose to do everything together, but in reality they didn't really do much aside from using each other as pillows…
Now that Chokogo was a bit older, her true body was several meters tall. However, because she learned a transformation technique, she could stay in the hand-size form of hers that everyone was used to seeing. Chojusen walked out of his house with Chokogo and after the latter transformed into her true size they went to the Training Grounds.
Most of the ninja knew that Chojusen was contracted to the Butterfly Clan, so he didn't attract too much attention flying around on Chokogo's back. When Chojusen finally reached the Training Grounds, he found Lee already practicing exercise routines.
Chojusen hopped off Chokogo's back, and said "Hey Lee! Do you mind if I join you in exercising?"
"Chojusen! No, go right ahead!"
Chojusen and Lee then did several thousand sit ups, push ups, and squats. Chojusen noticed that Lee was training with weights so he asked "Why are you using those weights?"
"Are you serious?"
"Yes?"
"Training with weights is the best way to improve power after you gain endurance. Don't tell me you've been training this whole time without weights..."
"I haven't trained with weights." It was at this moment that Chojusen recalled back when he was testing his potential for Butterfly Sage Mode. He remembered that his Yang Awakening improved faster while under the immense of the boulder he to carry. Now he cursed himself for forgetting that such a method existed! At least he know knew of the method and would no longer ignore it; knowing late is better than never finding out.
Chojusen asked Lee if he could see his weights. Lee handed him on of the leg weights he strapped on for all of his training. As Chojusen took the weights and was a bit surprised; this leg band alone weighed around 1000 kgs, so Lee must have been carrying around a couple thousand kgs across his whole body.
Of course this was only impressive when you took into account that it was Lee who was carrying them; even as a twelve year old with nothing except taijutsu, him being able to carry this was insane. To Chojusen however, these weights were like twigs; utterly lightweight (when unrestricted by the limiter)
He quickly found out that even if he wanted to train with weights it would be hard to find materials dense enough for him to carry for training while not hindering him too much. Chojusen thought about this problem for a while and eventually reached a solution. Instead of using weights he could use gravity, or in Lee's case, a gravity seal, to reproduce the effects of weight training without actually carrying weights.
Chojusen scrolled through the Omniseal Unlock's compendium for seals and reviewed over the section for gravity seals and quickly created his own version. For the first time in ages, Chojusen heard the system issue out a prompt.

Chojusen would have to think up a reason to give Lee a Gravity Seal later, as now, he could see his friend Ino walking his way with Guy.

Oh, and Akiko Uchiha is just some random OC I made up with (probably) no relevance to the story.
Sai is not an emotionless prick like he was in the original story (in the beginning~)
