Qiao Lian slowly opened her eyes as the morning light penetrated the room. The first thing that greeted her was Shen Liangchuan's outstandingly handsome face and his familiar, masculine breath.

Unconsciously, the first thing she did was touch his forehead. She felt relieved after noting that his temperature had gone down.

Then, as if she had had some sort of sudden realization, she sat up with a jerk. She looked down to check that she was fully clothed. At some point, she had somehow wriggled her way into the folds of Shen Liangchuan's blanket…

She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that his eyes were still closed and he was still asleep.

Then she carefully got out of bed and walked out of the room.

Although she had looked after him for the whole night, the truth was that she still couldn't bring herself to face him.

He was sick, and she didn't want to get into a fight with him.
