Lu Zhaoyang rushed to the morgue with a heavy heart. Frosty air hissed out from the morgue when she opened the door. It looked eerie inside and it made a chill run down her spine. She braced herself and carefully stepped inside.

Huo Yunting was sitting against the wall beside his mother's body. He was so still that he looked like a statue.

His head was bowed down and his eyes were hidden from view. There was no visible emotion on his face.

Lu Zhaoyang stepped as lightly as she could. He looked as lifeless as the bodies in the morgue and her heart ached for him.

Terror began to grow in her. She felt deeply guilty for his mother's death.
