"Where is your son? I have something to confirm with him!"

Everyone was taken aback at her question, not having expected her to ask for the boy's whereabouts, much less for her to have business with him.

This unexpected inquiry made the older woman, who had always been protective of her grandson, tense up.

"W-What do you want with him?"

She regarded the younger woman with suspicion, suddenly wondering if the latter was unhappy with having a step-child with her son.
