Zusammenfassung
Earth suffered apocalypse. All electronics over the world were destroyed. War and famine ravaged the lands. When humanity tried to rebuild, they discovered that most technology no longer worked. The laws that governed the world had changed!
Steam technology rose in popularity after the apocalypse. Humanity entered a new golden age. Then, the seven nightmares attacked. Espers with strange powers appeared. Mutants took over most of the world. This was the beginning of the Mana Apocalypse!
My name is Edward Tesla and I was born during the Mana Apocalypse. This is my story about trying to protect everything I care about in this living hell. My inventions will defeat the nightmares and save the world! Steam rifles, steam tanks, and steam mechs. My inventions will surpass them all!
Extra Note from the author: Some of the early chapters are a bit rough and need rewritten. Most of the long-term fans come from Chapter 21 and up. I guarantee the story continues to improve from there as you continue reading. Political factions, wars, steam tech, mana mysteries, and more. Though the story starts in America, it also visits China, Europe, Africa, and other areas of the world later on.

Schreiben Sie eine RezensionNot enough world back ground I feel like this is a mix of full metal alchemist world with the seven deadly sins homunculus but there called the seven nightmares. .... many stolen names and ideas from other famous creators shows that you could have just made up yourself to save the trouble. Literally have one punch man written word for word in your novel bro that’s just plain stealing. Forced plot of moving from one organization to another to fast no consistent power scaling literally everyone is at the same power level. Trash mc being put through so much stressed to further your plot cause you don’t know how to write a story just about him. Too many full metal alchemist rip offs what was the point of having all his arms and legs ripped off bro do you know what phantom limb pain does to you I don’t care how strong. A rapper is you should be going through something when you forcibly get your limb cut off. Dad forced to die Cause no one orginization can keep him safe for long. My advice to you is stop stealing sit down for a second and make your own story bro cause I’ve read it somewhere else
The story made me read it fast because it keeps on adding my curiosity. So I didn't bother looking for grammar and spelling errors. Stability of updates: excellent. 5 CH now in a period of 5-6 days? Story development: the MC just started to develop his abilities, couldn't say more since it's only starting. Character design: like what some people on the comment said, mc is somehow like deku. A bullied kid>got powers>his bully came with him on the academy>they will become enemies. Fun Prediction: they're going to be friends in the future? 😊😂 I still like the MC tho, got a good impression of him. I like that he's into inventing. The vibes he gave me is kinda like deku of hero academia/ a bit Dean of dark king / and a bit Edward elric? World background: the world after apocalypse + steam punk era. Deserves 5/5 for me. Suggestions? No suggestions haha. Just keep doing this and don't drop it if possible. ✔️Added in my library
Wonderful novel: definitely my new top original. I love the steampunk ideas and themes. I am glad you did not drop it after the contest: keep writing pls. I like the OP MC and his goals. His abilities are srsly ridiculous. The factions in the wotld are messed up: like nearly everyone is cruel. But its the apocalypse so I guess thats ok. Mc seems to hold up ok after going through terrible situations. I do wish he would lay low for some time and build up his power. Like why does he always keep trying to join/start a faction. He could wander for a while. And maybe even stockpile weapons in a hidden warehouse with his abilities.
Nothing too adventurous, since a lot of the themes are very familiar, but the writing quality is better than most. Sadly the plot development and writing style is quite immature, often childish, lacking descriptions in some places, and thrusting the reader too quickly into new events and new characters with almost zero build-up in others. Even then it was ok until plagiarized characters started turning up in the story, totally ruining it. I do enjoy a cheeky little homage, with a little wink wink nudge nudge here and there, but bringing it up more than once is obnoxious. Just have your moment and move on, let the reader at least pretend you didn't steal a character, other-wise just tag it as fan-fiction so those of us expecting some originality can bypass it. Blatant plagiarism totally ruins a story for me, and I just can deal with it. Just don't do it, guys. Just don't.
Read it until chapter 20 and i can only say that the mc is dumb and weak. He has such a strong power buy he doesnt use it to its full potential. Its like the author likes to make his mc suffer and undermine him. I'd rather have Dupe as the mc or even Jake, thousands of times better than a typical xianxia-like villain character which the mc has.
I'm kind of disappointed in this novel. As one of the reviewers have Said, if you like the hero academia, you may like this one but sadly this is really not my cup of tea. And srsly, giving the MC's opponent a tragic back story when in the early chapters you made him so bad to the core? Dmn I really hate that part.
The book was going great until the author completely messed up... And killed the only decent character in the story (Mordy). I am leaving my review at 5 stars due to the fact that I am not sure that the author can take criticism and if he sees a bad review he will kill him forever. I hope for a rewrite with Mordy, or he gets revived.
Spoiler enthüllenMan, let me tell you something man, let me tell you something man! Snoozy is a phenomenal writer! This is his first book so some people didn’t like the beginning by the way he has grown and progressed with his story telling and world building, they way the Ed our MC has developed its simply mind blowing! There is development of the Ed’s character, mentality and ambition; as well as his powers. The research done into other cultures as well with the combination of western and eastern concepts along with the authors own ideas, they form this expertly crafted story! I don’t want to spoil anything but all I can say is our MC has neutral mindset maybe chaotic neutral mean he will help others but he also will see through his goals and ambitions if it means ignoring someone’s plight, using others or putting himself in harms way. Ed is really OP he’s above average at best where we stand but he’s unmatched in his ability to plot and see plans coming to fruition. The best thing you can do is add this to your library and just read it yourself, don’t take my opinion on anything other than stick through the beginning as this was his first work! He has another book as well that people love I haven’t read it yet but I will, even with it being on hiatus and him wanting to rework it, because he is just that good at drawing you In and i would love to see how he developed with that one as well as when he reworks it how he mad it that much better. I guess I kinda review both but he is great and the story is great! You still reading this? Why?! You should be reading the story at this point! Can’t Wait to see you in the comments of the newer chapter leave me reply to my comments and let me know if I got you started lol
Well. At first, Im actually read this cuz im bored and have nothing to do. But suddenly I found myself binge reading this entire day and night So you can suppose that I am like this story. The thing is, when I'm read this novel suddenly I am remember about code geass. Dunno why. Cuz the mc maybe. Or smthg I just hope this not end like code geass tho Please 😂 pretty please? And make the mc more of with more mutants flesh. Till no hint of humanity in him Even tho I dunno if he still have that Ehhhh I'm writing a long review hmmm Meh Whatever - Keep. Up the good work lad And became slave to the readers! HAHAHA
Been ignoring this novel in the past 'cause I taught the story is a generic one. But because of desperation cause I ran out of things to read I finally gave in and tried it.....Didn't know it was this good!!!....definitely recommended to those that haven't read this
The author wasn't kidding when he suggested the first 21 chapters were something to grind your way through, I only barely managed to reach the halfway point of that benchmark and I feel like I'm about to go nuts with frustration. - The first thing you'll notice beyond a decent opening is how quickly the author is rushing to get to more "important" plot developments. He gets blackmailed through his deserter father and we can't even get a sentence of dialogue between them before he's carted off to another city. The dad risked a lot for his son and abandoning his responsibilities to the government aside, he didn't act like a bad father. Seems like they would have some emotional response to being parted, but nah, lets not include that. He loses an arm too and at least that one gets a sentence or two, unlike daddy dearest. Still, one measly paragraph to waking up with one of your arms just gone? I doubt he's so uninvested in his dominant hand that he wouldn't freak out or need a day to come to terms with his new life. Realistically, you'd need months and even years to get over it, but one paragraph later and he's mentally prepared to negotiate the terms of his blackmail (also something that happened INSTANTLY) and decide the path of the rest of his life. Then there's the ride to the new city itself, the landscape and the culture around them. Did any of that get mentioned? What about the after-effects of the attack or even the color of train he's sitting in? Well of course not! We skip straight to Godzilla rampaging through his home killing thousands to the hospital and his one paragraph of "where's my arm at?" then straight to blackmail and a train ride out. A one chapter wham-bam-thank-you-mam that shows the writer won't be asked to give detail to anything that'll slow him down on his checklist of plot points. - Then there are the conclusions these people jump to... It's honestly mind boggling at times. For example, some classmate gets told about his ability to manipulate different materials and when hearing that this power doesn't include liquid matter she goes "Well, people who control liquid are your weakness then"... Like no the fck it isn't, how does that make any sense? Someone else can do something you can't, whoopty doo! Are you going to fall to the ground and become useless because somebody can control water?.. No, the best counter to his ability was another character who can reverse effects, or roll back time in specific areas or whatever. She could literally undo everything he tries with his powers and still this classmate's logic is that liquid control counters him. Go figure. Anyway, this kind of logic isn't uncommon and is very noticeable to a reader for being just a little bit... off. - Another thing that became a problem real quick was the authors tendency to borrow lines or plot from whatever anime he's currently watching like One Punch, Full Metal and My Hero. The ripped Bakugo character is especially disgusting for how blatant he is. Same personality, same power, same rival dynamic with the mc. The other examples of it didn't bother me at all because although similar, they were distinct enough to be original. But I draw the line at a near copy paste of Bakugo's formula because of how ill-fitting the character was to be the mc's rival. We get promised an antihero and here we sat watching some Deku/Bakugo-esque development. - Anyway, to sum it all up this sht show is tied together with obvious plot devices, convenient storytelling and contrived plots. It's so rampant and disjointed I'd sound nuts trying to pick and choose examples, but you'll just have to take my word for it that if the writer wants something to happen he won't be discrete about it. This is the bedrock of what makes this story tick because it's the only way the writer seems to know how to move the plot forward. I refer back to his checklist of important plot events, everything is just another "tick" that needed to happen. - This story is frustrating to read and review lol. I seriously wasn't expecting such a poor experience when I started and in so few chapters as well. I read the author's joke 5 star review and I've got to ask that he stop. You've admitted there's a glaring issue with the first 21 chapters, you can't avoid fixing an issue you yourself realize when you're going around joking about having written "the best" story on this site. I'm not convinced your writing really improves at chapter 21 but if it does how can you stand letting thousands of readers drop off at a fixed point like this? The only thing a writer can ask is that we invest our time in their world, so don't ignore the hundreds of commenters I saw throughout each chapter frustrated with what the experience you gave them. - TL;DR - Highly overrated considerating how many poor quality chapters you have to grind through to reach the "good stuff".
Spoiler enthüllenWell written post-apocalypse esper vs aliens story. Mc rises from the despair and pain for revenge and power to control his fate. His esper ability to transfigure materials in the steampunk era mixes technology and science fiction is great creativity and not totally illogical random fantasy adds realism that you can immerse in. One of the best stories out that beat mainstream novels hands down.
At first, it was choppy and fast, not a lot about his personality was explained. I really like having a sort of evil protagonist. I'm sad to see this become premium since I'm a free reader and am already spending on two other novels, but one of them finishing, so maybe I'll focus on this. I'm happy for the author though, since they get to make that dough. I wish I knew more about the nightmares and how the apocalypse occurred. I like the character depth of some, and how cliche free this is compared to others. I'm not very good at reviewing books.... Overall, very naisu!!!!
Nothing like a mad scientist with some good allies and some plot armor but for a greater good! The beginning (15+chapters) is of a lower quality but keep going, you will be pleased, great world and a good mc await you, and when I say a good mc, is the quality because here when have a anti hero done wright!
My favorite piece of writing on this app. Author does an amazing job describing events and characters. Some ideas are inspired by outside sources and are integrated in a comical way, such as OP Baldy. Keep up the great work!
Spoiler enthüllen[ONLY MINOR SPOILERS] Fully caught up so I think I am finally eligible to write a review. Currently by far one of the most well written novels I have read so far out of all the novels I have read. Very logical story progression and no stupid decisions made nor indescribable luck. The story pans out very well and kept my attention the whole time. I never really lost interest and finished catching up after a few days of reading and now actively wait on updates. Skip this part if you don't live in the US. As a reader that currently lives in the US, more specifically florida. I really enjoy how I can actually relate to the locations listed in the novel and not only just get a general feeling for them like other novels I have read that take place in china or the future. However that isn't to say that the novel has no flaws. Everything has a flaw somewhere however the flaws in this novel are only minor flaws that just feel out of place. Only a minor spoiler here so if you don't want any skip the rest of this paragraph. The MC eventually is able to fly and can fly from florida up to NY in 6 hours if I recall correctly. That's 179 miles per hour (approx.) Still that is pretty fast just to be flying as a single person in the sky. All in all, I highly recommend this novel to anything looking for books that have a logical progression and a great story while you are at it. However this novel is not for snowflakes as there is a great deal of brutally that the whole world takes part in, each continent having its own view. That is all I am going to say here, if you want to know more maybe you should just read the novel. It is relatively short at the point I am posting this only being at chapter 93, the end of volume 2. Well, I go on for a while and am bad at endings, so I'll just leave it here. Goodbye reader.

Of course I'm giving myself five stars. I would say this is the best story ever written, but this is the 2nd novel I've started. So I suppose we will say it tied for first place with my other novel! Haha, in all seriousness please leave reviews with your thoughts guys! Thanks!
