Kapitel 229: Matters in the Mind Room...

Everyone was still en route towards the Scarlet Witches' hideout. It has been a day since they left Bevelona City.

While the Chicken Lord and Nuggets were enjoying their flight, while the three wolves ran like the wind, Jay and the others were busy with something else.

Roasted Boar was working on some of his spells and was mumbling to himself like a crazy person. Bloody Harvest and Abyssal Angel practiced control over their Spirit Power, and were being guided by Frallia. Sometimes, the Chicken Lord gave a few pointers.

As for Jay, he looked as if he was sleeping on Nuggets' back, but he was just actually in the Mind Room, fiddling around with whatever stuff was in it.

--- Mind Room

"Strange. The map at the back wall of the room still shows the 'Fatelord Plane.'" Jay thought to himself as he observed the map.

The only difference he noticed was that there were no blinking dots or anything that appeared anymore.

Since this was the case, Jay decided to check out the red book and Skully to see if there were any changes.

"Master, when are you going to continue your blood magic training?" Skully said as he rotated around.

"Soon."

The next thing Jay did was to check the bookshelf but there wasn't anything new. Aside from the fact that the books he got from different planes were categorized and organized neatly, there wasn't really anything else.

"I wonder if it also acts as a spatial inventory or something?" Jay thought to himself since there were only 20 books displayed on each of the three layers on the shelf. And whenever the book he was looking for was not there, the book will pop up out of thin air in front of him.

After checking the bookshelf, he checked his status screen. Just as he thought nothing changed, he saw that besides his Spirit Power Panel, his status screen was gone.

"Wait, what the hell?"

Jay touched the wall in front of him, trying to look for some kind of button or mechanism. But after a couple of minutes, he gave up and just decided to move on to the next object in the Mind Room, the three orbs.

"I wonder how Ruby is doing? I should probably ask her some questions too about the Scarlet Witches or if she knows something about the Chicken Lord."

...

--- Storage Orb

~RAWRRR!!!

A hulking and gigantic bear that was as tall as a two-story building moved around the endless white areas of the Storage Orb.

It had white fur, black hair on its head that looks like a wig glued to it, and multicolored crystals of varying sizes around its body.

"What the hell happened here!??"

Jay was shocked when he saw the white bear. What was even shocking was that it was acting like a cute puppy while Ruby played with it.

"Wait, where are my monster essences!?? My items... WHERE IS IT?!!"

The only thing Jay saw that remained in his Storage Orb was Night Sky, the jet black longsword he got back at the Fatelord Plane.

"Big lady, you're finally going to let me go?" Ruby said and wondered where Jay was and how he was speaking to her. Besides the white bear and Night Sky, she did not see anything or anyone else in the Storage Orb.

"Explain yourself! Where is my stuff!?? What..." Jay spoke with anger in his voice, but Ruby shushed him and explained.

"Well, since you won't let me go, I got bored just by playing with my teddy bear. So, I played another game. I changed the growth time of my teddy bear and fused some weird looking blobs on her. I even taught her a few fighting tricks and sparred with her since I am bored as fuck.

"That's just three or four of my items... wait what?!! That humongous white bear is Cubsy?" Jay was stupefied with what Ruby told him.

"The rest of your items... I kind of accidentally fed it to my teddy bear. Sorry." Ruby said as she made Cubsy roll over and she then patted her belly, as if she was mocking Jay.

"YOU LITTLE..." Jay shouted furiously. He was even thinking of releasing Ruby and dropping her from the skies.

"Calm down big lady. Don't you know that violence against little girls is unethical?" Ruby said mockingly and laughed deep inside her.

"Fine, you want to mess with me, then fine!" Jay thought to himself and said something else.

"Since we've come to this point, when I arrive at the Scarlet Witches' hideout, I will just tell them that a girl named Ruby is already dead. I will keep you in this place for all eternity."

"Hmph! What a pretty lie. Do you think finding our hideout is that easy? How would you even arrive there?" Ruby said mockingly again.

"I have my ways. Since you looted me of my items, then I shall loot the Scarlet Witches of their items too. Bye!"

Jay did not even wait for Ruby to say something before he retracted his gaze from the Storage Orb.

...

"I hate that kid." Jay thought to himself as he sighed and checked out the two other orbs.

"Are you really not going to release her?" Hellson suddenly appeared beside him and asked.

"Maybe. Depends on what will happen when we reach the Scarlet Witches' hideout." After saying this, Jay checked the Creation Orb and saw nothing out of the ordinary.

As for the Viewing Orb, when Jay checked it, he tried activating it.

"Strange. Why isn't it working?" Before Jay could even stop gazing at the Viewing Orb, Hellson spoke up.

"It only works if you have a specific event you want to see. I use it all the time so that I can see my past memories about Maris." Hellson said while feeling a bit nostalgic about something.

"Let me try it then."

Jay tried something simple first. He wanted to try seeing some of his past memories when he was still at the Fatelord Plane. He tried to recall the first day he ended up in this world.

Then suddenly, Jay's consciousness got sucked into the Viewing Orb.

...

Everything around Jay was just black, as if he was floating around in space. Just as he was wondering what was going to happen next, some words appeared in front of him.

UNTITLED MEMORY...

SYNCHRONIZING...

CONFIRMING DATA...

"What the hell? Is this some kind of loading screen?" Then suddenly, a blinding flash of light appeared in front of Jay.

Memories and events of how he arrived to this world replayed in front of him. It was like he was watching a movie in a theater.

"I wonder how long it was since then. Has it already been a year? Or only a few months?" Jay thought to himself as he watched the 'movie.'

...

After a couple of minutes, Jay's consciousness was released from the Viewing Orb.

"So, how was it?" Hellson asked Jay and wondered what it was that Jay saw.

"It's like watching a movie clip." Jay said and wondered he can also see other things in the Viewing Orb besides his memories or past.

"So, what are you going to do for the rest of the trip? I don't think you will reach the Scarlet Witches' hideout in a week. I did some quick math and pieced some thoughts together and ended up with a conclusion that this trip would take about a month or so." Hellson said as he took out a smoking pipe from his white robes.

He then lied down at a corner in the mind room and started smoking with a relaxed expression on his face.

Jay quickly left the Mind Room and asked the Chicken Lord how long the trip would take them. If it was really a month just like Hellson said, he could start training in the mind room.

"A month or two. Forget the thing I said on how we can arrive in a week. I forgot that Ashnakara is one of the largest planes in existence. To be honest, it feels as if we haven't even reached the outer borders of the Utopian Region."

"Damn. That long? Then won't you guys get tired of flying?" Jay asked.

"Nah. Every time Nuggets or the wolves gets tired, I reinvigorate them by feeding them a small golden egg." The Chicken Lord said as he suddenly opened his beak and showed Jay a really tiny egg that was located on the tip of his tongue.

"Please don't tell me that's your spit?" Jay said jokingly.

"Of course not!" The Chicken Lord shouted at Jay.

After confirming his thoughts about their travel time, Jay went back to the mind room.

"Skully, tell me how to step into the Sacred Blood Magic stage." Jay immediately shouted and grab the ice jug near the wooden desk.

"Master, before we do so, may I ask how much time you have?" Skully asked as he floated away from the red book and went closer to Jay.

"A month or so. But I would also like to practice my Spirit Power and my chicken skills so let's say I only have a week to train my blood magic."

"I see. Master, may I suggest something?" Skully asked.

Jay agreed since and wondered what Skully had in mind.

"I believe you already know that by drinking the blood on this ice jug will burn your innards. It is possible to drink as long as you take it in small amounts, but since Master is running of time, my suggestion is that you let me take over your body while I chug down the blood. This way, you won't have to suffer any pain and step into the Sacred Blood Magic stage in a day."

"How long will you be sleeping if you do this?" Jay asked Skully.

"A week."

"If Master has any questions about blood magic while I am sleeping, the red grimoire is always available. But I'm afraid you have to flip through the pages randomly if you want to look for a specific topic since the information written on the grimoire is all mixed up."

After Skully's reminder, Jay immediately agreed to Skully's suggestion.

...

The moment Skully took over Jay's body, he immediately opened the ice jug and drank every drop of blood in it.

Jay's body suddenly started to shiver and a reddish glow appeared around his body.

"Master, you can still train in anything as long as it does not involve physical movement." Skully said to Jay while the red glow started to thicken.

Since this was the case, Jay started to recall all of the skills and spells he had.

~~~ According to Jay's memories ~~~
Spells:
Indestructible - 5 seconds immunity
Touch of Blizzard - a freezing touch and can be used to create small icy objects
Frozen Armor - an exploding frozen armor that gives me 10 seconds immunity
Complete Transformation - self explanatory, I guess...
Call of the Wild - makes me create a beast army
Tree of Life - Gives me a drastic increase in power and immunity for 1 hour. It also gives me a passive skill called Nature's Soul.
Skills:
Random fighting skills from different classes in the Fatelord Plane - stuff like Whirlwind Kick or Instant Shatter.
Moon Warrior skills - stuff I learned from Tygon. Forgot what their names are, but most of these skills are badass... maybe...
Sage Arts? - I think most of the skills I learned due to my Sage class just helps me talk and influence people easier.
Beast Tamer stuff - self explanatory. The best skill I have as a beast tamer is I can knock out beasts in a single punch as long as they aren't on guard.
Chicken Skills - makes me become a badass chicken guy.
Shadow Phase Rush - makes me dash to any object or shadow in just a split second.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It took Jay a couple of minutes to think about his skill and spells. He was too lazy to remember every detail and just summarized it.

"Blood Magic, Spirit Power, and the Vampire Chicken form. I guess that's all then."

Skully was still not done using his body and the reddish glow around his body now enveloped him completely. Not having any other choice, Jay decided to think about something else.

"Wait... Moon Warrior form? I got it! Why don't I try merging it with my Chicken Form?" Jay thought to himself and made this his first objective after Skully finished whatever he was doing.

I got a bit lazy typing every skill or spell Jay had, especially the details, so I apologize for that. I also did not want to turn this chapter filled with skill/spell descriptions.

If you think this style of writing down the skills/spells is better rather than the usual info dump, tell me in the comments.

Thanks! Have a nice day and enjoy reading stuff.
