Kapitel 11: Hunting the Prey

When he heard these words the fierceness in his eyes increased even more, and without a sound, the little plain looking bird at his feet disappeared suddenly and magically reappeared behind Trip, a cold and malicious glint passing through its eyes as it's head turned to look at the tied up Ayase. Inside the cage, Lee's face was full of concentration, her plan all depended on whether the elf would be able to distract the two bounty hunters and give her enough time to set her plan in motion, while she was looking at the elf she noticed an odd movement coming from the bounty hunter named Fin, he stealthily reached for his hip taking out a short dagger that wasn't there previously

Lee guessed that it was in some kind of storage device on his person, which made her smirk so widely that the Elf who was secretly staring at the bird wondering what it would do, shudder in fear. This made Fin think that the Elf had realized his innate power, making him fear him. This discovery made him laugh out loud, his voice extending throughout the forest and scaring dozens of birds that were within their area to flight, all except one.

"Hahaha! you finally realized my greatness you disgusting mutant Hahaha! , but what to do? it's already too late for you to beg for mercy!" said Finn his expression was that of a man having a psychotic break down.

His face muscles were scrunched up all up in the same spot making his mouth look like it was touching his eye, revealing straight yellow teeth and a pointy tongue. His eyes were the most terrifying, coated with bloodlust and anger. This made the man beside him take a step back, not being able to handle the aura of death coming from him

Whenever this version of his sworn brother came out he had learned not to get in his way because in this state of mind everyone in his line sight was the enemy especially him being in the weakest cultivation base possible, the Elementary First soul Realm, this power was given to him by the Grand Masters experimental potions, he was designed to an undefeatable warrior able to rival the non-human races. This was one of the reasons master Defell took a liking to him because out of all the test subjects his body had successfully accepted this power without exploding his cultivation base, in this form he was five times stronger than the average True Realm warrior,

A worrying look crossed Ayas's eyes with him tied up like this not only was he open to all attacks launched at him but he also couldn't retaliate, his eyes shifted to where his last hope for survival was only to find that space the bird had been occupying was empty, even after he blinked and looked around he still could not find the brown bird. Before when the bird had discussed the plan with him he had been told to keep the two bounty hunters as distracted as possible

He had not been told the plan except that his job was to distract the bounty hunters so that the bird would be able to kill them, yet when he looked around he saw no signs of the bird and the one named Finn seemed to have entered some kind of enraged state, this made Ayase nervous because he could feel that something in his body was not normal, that inside his body he had something that humans were not supposed to possess, so when he saw Finn take steps towards him he cursed himself with each step for trusting that stupid bird

"Brother..." a hesitant voice suddenly stopped the oncoming canon heading towards the elf. Trip really did not want those crazed eyes of his brother to be focused on him but this elf was meant to be for Grand Master Deffel to use to progress his cultivation, they were going to use this elf to exchange for some treasure that they had their eyes on for quite a while

"This... what I mean to say... wasn't this creature supposed to be exchanged for that particular treasure?" he said hesitantly, his muscular form seemed to have shrunk considerably, his shoulders curled into themselves, his head was bowed while his voice carried fear

Fin's crazy eyes focused on this man and they filled with delight, he loved the fear in other peoples eyes whenever they looked at him because it showed that he was the superior human being, it meant that he was stronger than them so when he saw the proudest race of the Void shiver in fear because of him, he could have been happier but what the cowardly man beside his said was right, they were going to exchange this elf for that particular treasure

Because that treasure would help him break through directly to the spirit soul realm, and rank among the top 100 of the human power rankings. Yet when he looked at the face of the elf which had returned to its cold, beautiful and proudful expression he couldn't help but become enraged because the stupid creature was looking at him like he wasn't there, he was just staring at an empty spot on the ground like he didn't have a care in the world and that pissed him off

A sinisterly creepy smile spread on Fin's face making Trip jump several steps back in caution. When trip had seen his brother pause he had thought that his words had gotten through to him, but the next second like a switch was flipped his brother grew even more enraged and surrounded by bloodlust. Trip wasn't the smartest man in the world but he did know when his brother was beyond words, the only thing that could appease him was the spilling of blood, his thoughts were confirmed at the next words his brother said

"Don't worry, he won't be dying today I'll just play with him a little is all" he said with his smirk getting wider "and to make it fair I'll even undo his restraints, what do you think brother, aren't I a nice person?"

All Trip showed was a nod in fear and take several more steps away from him. as he did that the absent-minded Ayase felt his body getting lighter for some reason after a looked he realized his restraints had loosened and he could finally move his sore body. Ayase looked towards the two humans and found that one had basically disappeared from sight and the other had grown twice the size he was before and had a face of a hideous mutated monster, replacing the equally unpleasant human face he had before

The elf was confused, what had transpired in the few minutes he had been cursing the missing bird? and why did the bounty hunters eyes look like they wanted to eat him whole and leave nothing not even bones behind?, meanwhile, deep into the forest a bird flying at a speed that a normal bird would not be able to go in was Lee, she seemed to be searching for something and as she looked high and low and when an excited glint flashed through her eyes and a strange smile spread through her beak she swooped down in a predatory manner and attacked her prey
