Kapitel 924: MAKING A BUSINESS DEAL
Bruce wanted prove to the Heavenly Raven Sect that he belonged there. So in order to prove it, he was given the test. The Heavenly Raven Sect asked Bruce to join the competition alone and prove his worth by becoming the champion from the Eagle City!
To be honest, Bruce had all the qualifications to join the Heavenly Raven Sect with his current achievements. His talent surpassed the outer sect disciple's and had all the qualification to become the Inner Sect Disciple.
But for Bruce, becoming the Inner Sect Disciple was akin to insulting his pride. He wanted to become the Core Disciple of the Heavenly Raven Sect! This was his wish. And when the higher ups of the Heavenly Raven Sect heard this, they were pleased.
In their views, this Bruce had the guts and high ambition. As a cultivator, this was a good sign. But becoming an Core Sect Disciple of the Heavenly Raven Sect was not that easy. The requirements they set was almost close to impossible. And they asked Bruce to participate in the competition alone and become the Champion. This was the first level test.
As for the second test, that will begin after he takes part in the competition which will take place in the Royal Capital. And he had to make into the top ten. This was the requirement they set for Bruce!
And Bruce accepted immediately! He participated in the competition alone as per the test set for him by the Heavenly Raven Sect. He then participated in the preliminaries all by himself without any team. And he became the champion very easily.
Then he walked as the most favorite person champion candidate in the competition. And till now, no one were able to shake his rank. His chanced remained as firm as ever.
Since Bruce was participating alone, Cohan became the leader of his team and was leading them. He was doing the great job. And since his achievements from the younger generations from the Raven Sect was second to Bruce, he also dreamed to join the Heavenly Raven Sect. And unless Bruce, Cohan did not have any high requirements. As long as he joined the Heavenly Raven Sect as an Outer Sect Disciple, he was fine with it.
But before even he could work on his dream, the Sect Master has put a responsibility on his head. Initially, this responsibility should have been fallen on Bruce. But he knew just how important this competition was Bruce. He don't want to create any distraction for Bruce.
So he moved and assigned this task for Cohan. Cohan smiled bitterly and was forced to accept it. And the assignment was very simple. It was to arrange the annihilation of the Star Moon Team.
So after thinking for much time, Cohan arranged for Steve to kill him. He felt that this was an easy task. But he never imagined that Steve would be killed and his team would have been annihilated.
Then he became a little careful. He gave a detail plan to Peter. But Peter screwed up everything. Instead of killing his opponents when the situation presented itself, he actually decided to toy with them first.
This mistake costed him as his opponents managed to escape through the help from Theresa. As for why Theresa helped some barbarians who were participating in the competition from a small city, they didn't know it. Cohan took it as a kind of provocation towards the Raven Sect. But since Theresa was a bigshot from the Eagle Sect, he had to be careful with his decision. So he didn't make any move against her for now.
"I am here for a small business transaction." ,Cohan said.
Russell was surprised. He never thought that one day people from the Raven Sect would seek his help. Russell felt that things will become interesting as he was looking at Cohan as if a huge profit was knocking his door. And as a money minded person, how could Russell deny it?
"This is surprising?" ,Russell said, "What kind of help may I provide you?"
"I want you to capture and force some people to make a deal with you. These people are from the Star Moon Team. I have my people follow two people. So I will give you their location. Can you help me to deal with them? Of course, I will stay true to my end of the contract. And we are ready to give you five Golden Pass as a payment! How about this?" ,Cohan spilled everything in one go. He felt that he made it clear for Russell and it will definitely attract his attention.
"I can certainly help you with this." ,Russell suddenly activated his "The Merchant" title and said, "But five Golden Pass were not enough. I want much more than that. I heard about the Star Moon Team. They were capable enough to annihilate even your Judgement Team right? That means they have some capabilities. They are not easy targets. "You...The Raven Sect kept this matter a top secret. How did you know this?" ,Cohan asked in anger and shock. But then he said, "Damn it! You placed a spy in our sect?"
"Esteemed Guest Cohan! Don't speak like that. You are speaking as if your Raven Sect didn't place any spies in my Silver Wolf Sect. Please don't speak as if you people are righteous. We all know that in this world, there is no righteous person. If by any chance we find one, then we all know that, that person won't survive for long." ,Russell smiled and said.
"But..." ,Cohan wanted to say something to defend himself. But he eventually stopped. He said in anger, "Alright! Whatever. I didn't come here to discuss all this unimportant issues. Fine. I will give you seven Golden Pass and fifty Silver Pass. Deal or no deal?"
Russell smiled. He didn't mind this deal. He is getting Seven Golden Pass and fifty Silver Pass for dealing with two people. Even though he knew that the Star Moon Team is very strong, he didn't care that much about it. He thought that he had many ways to deal with them.
Moreover, he was supposed to deal with just two people. So he was even more certain that this risk was worthwhile.
Russell said, "I can agree with this deal. But you need to sign the contract first for a proper business transaction."
"I have no problem with this." ,Cohan smiled and replied, "I was prepared to sign the contract before finding you."
He smiled and said, "Then it's a deal!"
