Kapitel 916: A TOM AND JERRY SHOW
Just where did they get all these scrolls from? This was the question constantly running through Peter's mind. He desperately wanted some answers. But he didn't know how.
But honestly, he didn't care about any of that now. These people had ruined his reputation again and again. So it was time for them to pay.
As for how many scrolls they have, well, after he kills them, all the remaining scrolls belongs to him. So why would he care where these people got all the scrolls from? As ling as they were dead, all those scrolls will be his. So he didn't care about it's origin.
"Stop there!" ,He gave another shout hoping for these people to stop. But he himself knew that it was just a wishful thinking. So he followed them while preparing his next attack.
Even though he was preparing his nee attack, he was pretty serious about one thing. He noticed that all his opponents were very fast with their movements.
He was already at the mid stages of the third awakening stage. He is strong. And of course, as strength increases, all the physical body attributes will improve accordingly as well.
He was quick because not only because of his cultivation base, but he was praised for being one of the quicker people among his peers in the entire sect.
And he is failing to keep up with a bunch of barbarians. How could he not be stunned? After all, the cultivation bases of all his enemies are definitely not stronger than his own. He was even sure that they are not even in the third awakening stage.
So how come their movement speed comparable with his own? No! That's what he wanted to believe. But his heart constantly told him that, he was wrong. His enemies' movement speed definitely surpassed his own! There is no doubt about it.
Logan and others might be running quickly. But that was just on the surface. It is true that they had all their attributes were upgraded to Level 2. But one should never forget that they used one clone to disguise as the Jimmy and others who were watching everything from outside the forest.
Using clone has one major disadvantage. It will not only split their bodies. But it will take a lot of load on their minds as well. In order to keep the clone active, the main body needs to take rest at least six hours a day. Or else, the clone might disappear out of exhaustion from energy.
They had to take rest compulsorily every night back when they were participating in the preliminaries. And they had to do it until they woke up next day. Of course, they stopped doing that when they deactivated their clones. At that time, they regained their strength and the need for rest never occurred.
But this time, they were in the situation which is almost similar to the last time which they faced in the preliminaries. But due to the upgraded body attributes, especially the Stamina and Constitution, they were participating in the competition without any exhaustion.
But they were fighting for a while now. And their cultivation bases were not as higher as Arjun's. So the time of exhaustion has come. If they continue with this running stuff, then it won't be long before their clone will run out of energy through which they existed outside the forest. And they were sure that it will definitely cause a massive commotion which they don't want to see.
Thing is clear. They had to find a way out of this and get a good sleep. But from the looks of it, with the strong person like Peter chasing them, it won't be long before he will catch up to them.
They looked back while running. As usual, Peter was preparing the same snake Dao spell to attack them. And the two girls behind them were preparing a spell as well. Logan and others sighed. They took out three more additional scrolls and prepared to counter.
And just like the last time, the same scene repeated again. The Dao attacks from the attackers and the Dao Energy from the scrolls collided and created a blast. And then everything turned back normal once again.
"How long grandpa!" ,Lucky asked Ram outside the forest.
"I am still very far away." ,Ram replied, "Just keep him busy. I am coming as fast as I can. If this forest is not this vast, then I would have been there already."
"Damn this forest." ,Adam said in frustration. But there is nothing that is going to help them here. They had to find a way out before they run out of both scrolls and energy.
Arjun was silent. He didn't care much about it. The current 'him' knew that no matter what, Logan and others are not going to die. He is certain about this. He knew that there is a person who was in desperate need of his help. And just not only his help, he needed the help of all ten of them. He can't afford to lose even a single one. Or else, it's game over for him.
So Arjun was sure that, if any of them are in any desperate situation, then that 'person' will not sit idly and do nothing. He will definitely save Logan and others. But this situation is perfect for him as well. This kind of close to death and desperate situations were the one that will make them strong. So he didn't care and was in a relaxed mode.
Time passed. Peter attacked Logan and others along with his two girls using the Dao. Logan and others used all their scrolls to defend against them. But as time passed, they were worried as the number of scrolls in their possession gone finally empty!
And to make situation worse, their energy has hit a limit. They wanted to run. But their bodies were no longer cooperating with them. They were forced to stop. As for Peter he already caught up.
He looked at them and said, "I wondered hoe come you had this much stamina despite low cultivation base. Guess you were running desperately with your top speed from the start which led to the exhaustion of energy pretty quickly."
Peter smiled and said, "So, shall we continue from where we previously left off? What was I saying? Ahh... I said that I will torture you until you beg for your lives. Only when I was bored, that I will stop it. I guess, judging from your previous arrogance, you people will not concede your defeat even before the show started right?"
The crowd sighed. The Cat and Mouse show is now as good as over.
