Chapter 0: Blame the Dog!
" Wait, are you telling me that I died in a car accident? " asked Kent.
Within a garden full of flourishing and extravagant greenery , where you can see countless planets and stars in the dark sky, Kent Chamber faces a slightly petite girl with a questionable fashion sense.
Alta said with a shrug, " Yes, Yes you did. "
What if you find yourself sitting face to face in front of a woman, who claims that you died?
What if that woman proclaims that she is a Goddess?
Alta, the name of the self-proclaimed great goddess, is the one who fished out Kent's soul - which she claims to be abnormally strong - and is offering a job that is awfully clichéd and fret with danger.
" All living beings have to die, Mr. Kent. And besides isn't it completely normal to die in a traffic accident? " said Alta with an all-knowing expression.
" Sure, I can accept it if I died in an accident but seriously, it's all because of a dog shitting in the middle of the street? " Kent says with a hint of self-mockery.
' So much for road safety. '
Yep, you heard it. A traffic incident that involves a 'landmine'. This is pretty much a crappy way of dying, isn't it?
' It seems that I have to consider hiring a professional chauffeur if I ever live in a similar world. ' Kent swore while carrying a newly found grudge for dogs.
" Mr. Kent, why do you concern yourself in the past? I am asking you a question, will you stay in earth and live another boring life, or will you take this chance, and live in a world where you find danger lurking near you? " Alta said with a serious expression.
No matter what, a boring but safe life is what everyone wants to achieve. Kent believes it to be quite a good choice to live this way. But he believes that the latter choice is something very intriguing, and what perhaps many who seek enjoyment hope for.
Kent lived a normal life although it was short-lived and rather regretful, considering he died when he was 30 years old, as a virgin of course.
' Does this mean I can live my second life with the way of the Sage? Maybe I can be a Gandalf except without the robes and all. ' thought Kent as he laughed at the thought.
" I'm waiting for your answer Mr. Kent. " said Alta impatiently.
" You can't possibly ask for my answer in a short amount of time, will you? " Kent says with shrug,
" I'll take option 2, Didn't really like how I lived my life after my mother died, didn't really had many chances to use what I learned from that tomboy. "
With excitement the Goddess declares," Kent Chamber, I promise to you as one of the 3 Great Gods of Chlaim, you will find what you seek as long as you become my champion."
Kent replied with a smirk," At the very least, I get to 'climb a mountain' when I start my life."
Alta asked in a surprisingly innocent manner," Climb a mountain? "
" Forget what I said. " replied Kent with an awkwardly stupefied expression.
' It seems that she is innocent, despite god-knows what her age is. ' Kent thought with an appraising tone. Of course, since he is a soul within the realm of Alta, a living great god, all his thoughts are laid out horribly, like a woman forcefully stripped naked.
" Okay. From here on out, you will claim the identity of Flynn Crane, the third son of Marquis Colton Crane of Rottweiler Kingdom" Said Alta with ire.
"What the -- does that mean that The king is a dog?!" retorted Kent with full force.
