Kapitel 72: Crimson Army, Assemble!

Sitting leisurely inside the guest room, Mays's gaze was fixed at the outer area of Capital City which was now turned into scorching earth in less than one minutes. The attack had barely started but the destruction was overwhelming because of the intensity of the attack.

"This barrier... I think it is not created solely from barrier crystal."

Mays was quite shocked by the durability of the barrier surrounding the palace. They had destroyed a normal barrier when they attacked Kokakola last time hence he noticed the differences.

"Precisely."

Sikacak voice came from the other side of the door of their guest room. The door were left open when Hallel ran out from the room earlier. Following closely behind Sikacak was Comel.

"Care to explain?"

"I would love to explain in details but time is not on our side. Let's just settle with the version where our ancestor sacrifice herself to enhance the barrier further. Is that acceptable?"

"Decent enough. Well then, let's go meet our visitors."

With that said, Mays led everyone outside with his normal leisurely pace. Both Sikacak and Comel were restless as every second they wasted meant another death of their kin. The palace didnt even shake when attacks landed on its defensive barrier. Mays nodded in approval as he moved toward the entrance of palace.

''Oh ya, where is Hallel?''

Mays just noticed that Hallel was actually not with them at the moment.

"There."

Pointing her finger somewhere not too far from them, Ria giggled before she continued.

"She can't hold herself back I think."

"Ugh, that hothead."

Mays shrugged as he saw a shining golden meteor beating down a black dragon at the place Ria pointed. That was Hallel without a doubt. Nobody could create a flashy golden light like that aside from her.

Half of the spirits chuckled when they saw their master face palmed yet again because of Hallel. It had been a normal occurrence these days for him to do that whenever Hallel did something unexpected.

"SICANTIK!!"

Sikacak shouted in anger once he saw the devastated state of his most trusted commander trapped inside a bone cage. There was barely any sign of life in her. If not because her body was still twitching, Sikacak wouldn't be able to find out that she was still alive.

The other two elves inside the bone cage was also in the brink of death. It seemed like they had been tortured nonstop until they had no more strength to move. Most of their bones were probably crushed already considering how weird their body shape currently was.

"Hold your horses, Sikacak. You can't do anything even if you rushed there by yourself."

"BUT!!"

"No buts! You might be unaware but I sensed almost a dozen of presence as strong as you close by. I'm sure their target is you."

Apparently Sikacak was still sceptical about it. Clouded by his emotion, he couldn't keep his calm. He was about to rush forward but once again he was stopped. Comel was holding his wrist. She shook her head as she tried to dissuade the elf king.

"But... but..."

"Enough."

Sikacak dejectedly looked at the floor. He had already pledged loyalty to Mays hence he couldn't defy his order. If he told him not to go then he could only obey the order despite his unwillingness.

''Heheh, worry not. But before that, do you have a way to remove your kin from the battlefield? Transfer them all into the palace while you are at it.''

Mays's question was not unfounded. Back in the game, Elven King Sikacak had a skill where he could summon his guards several times out of nowhere. Since it was proven that the skills those bosses possessed in both HeavensTale and this world was the same, he should literally have that skill.

"That... I do have that kind of skill. But to cast one which cover the whole Capital City, I would exhaust at least half of my magic power. I won't be that helpful in the upcoming battle if I do so."

Hesitantly replying to Mays, Sikacak told him the consequences if he do as he was told. Mays chuckled at that reply before he continued.

"Since when did I ask you to join in my fun? My army alone is enough to deal with them."

With a domineering tone, Mays questioned Sikacak. He even said another line confidently.

"It's not yours alone, its ours."

Ria added.

"Haha yeah. It's mostly yours even. Do it, Sikacak."

Since Mays himself already said so, Sikacak had no reason to refute him. In fact, he was grateful when Mays asked him to teleport all his kin into the palace. They both knew that the palace which was guarded by the enhanced crystal barrier was the safest area inside Capital City. Sikacak ran back toward the centre of the palace before he invoked his skill.

"Blood Resonance Resummon!"

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!

The whole Capital City was enshrouded by a cyan light in an instant. That cyan light appeared and disappeared in a blink of an eye. The ogres and the black dragons were dumbfounded when the enemy they were facing just a few second ago disappeared without a trace.

Even the gold rankers who stood atop the huge red dragon was shocked when they realized that not even one elves were there inside Capital City after that cyan light appeared. Even Sicantik and her two guards had disappeared. Those who were still breathing disappeared together with the cyan light leaving only the corpses of the elves inside Capital City.

''How the hell did that happen?''

Tomtom from AtomicTiger Dukedom was shocked. He never understood complicated things. Something like this never happened in front of him before hence he was totally shocked by that bizarre occurrence.

''I don't know, man.''

Obviously his stupid kin, Tintin knew nothing about it either. The rest of the ranker shifted their gaze toward the Red Dragon King as they knew only him would be able to enlighten them.

''That was without doubt Sikacak's skill. I don't know what exactly that skill was but it can teleport the elves as the caster wills.''

His explanation was enough to make everyone present nodded in acknowledgement. This Red Dragon King was indeed an elder from ancient times. He even knew about some hidden, obscure skills like this one.

--------------------------------------------

Mays stepped out of the palace as he observed the battlefield in front of him. Most of the ogres was still confused while the black dragon on the sky was flying aimlessly. They couldn't find even one living elves in the battlefield anymore.

Not too far from the palace entrance was Hallel who was fighting her second black dragon. She had killed the previous one easily before she hopped to the next one. These black dragon were just low level gold ranked intermediate bosses.

"Hey, Hallel. Come here if you wants the buff."

Mays gestured with his finger urging Hallel to come to him. Hallel kicked the black dragon which was entangled with her in a fight before she rushed toward Mays. She knew that Mays planned on activating Drasca's skill again.

She couldn't wait to experience that power again. In fact, she was currently addicted to the feeling of being powered up. It was intoxicating. It was uncomfortable at first but after she got used to it last time, it felt great. She could even fight against insane bosses alone because of it. How awesome was that?

"Drasca, now."

"Right away, master."

There was no need for any chant before Drasca shone brightly after she activated the enhancement skill. Mays, Ria and Hallel were once again enclosed by the thin layer of golden light signifying that the skill had already activated.

Behind them were the six spirits, also observing the battlefield. None of them was going to fight right away since Mays had not given the order yet. The huge red dragon which hovered on top of the palace suddenly landed close to them as if it was ordered to do so.

Several figure jumped down from on top of that dragon, each and every one of them emanating tremendous pressure on par with Sikacak and Comel. They were none other than the gold ranker sent by the Black Dragon King.

" What are you doing here, human?"

The one who opened his mouth was the old man who led the group, Red Dragon King Romeo.

"Uh, ten gold ranked insane bosses at once. This is quite troublesome indeed. What should we do I wonder?"

As if the presence of those people in front of him meant nothing, Mays ignored the question asked by Romeo. He was lost in his own thought. Truth be told, at the moment, Mays was not at all intimidated by these bosses.

The main reason for that was because of his current circumstances. He was put into a difficult situation back when they fought at the vampire lord's place only because that place was an instance dungeon.

Capital City was indeed a dungeon instance but the owner was Sikacak. Other bosses couldnt activate the dungeon instance except him. Since that was the case, there was obviously no space disturbance and limitation like when he was in that previous instance.

"Well then, I can try fighting them like that event in the game back then I guess."

Mays once again muttered to himself before he finally looked at the faces of his opponent who stood in front of him for quite some time already.

At the same time, the situation of the elves inside the palace were no better than those ogres outside either.

"Where... where is this place?"

"This place seems familiar."

"This... this is the palace!"

"This is Brightmoon Palace. I used to be a guard here."

Most of the elves were in a state of confusion after they were forcefully teleported into the palace. Some of the guards and soldiers recognize the place but most of them who was a normal civilian didn't. At the very least, they didn't spot any enemy nearby hence they let out a relieved sigh

"What happened, your highness?"

One of the soldiers noticed that their king was there with them, gasping for air. He looked totally drained. There were several other soldiers around him who helped him stood up.

"Calm down, my brethren. We are now inside Brightmoon Palace."

The king's calm voice made everyone present turned silent. They knew whose voice was that. It was their venerated king. Once they knew who brought them there, they all expressed their gratitude to their king.

"All hail the king!"

"Bless the king!"

One after another, they shouted in unison. Most of them were immense with joy. Some of them were on the brink of death seconds ago but now they were still alive thanks to their king.

"Listen to me my faithful subject."

The clattering and noisy crowd turned silent once again. All their eyes were now glued to the weakened figure of their king. This benevolence king of their had something to be announced. Their respect to the king was genuine. None of them open their mouth as they awaited their king's next word.

"We have lost the war."

The first sentence from the king turned everyone present down casted.

"The Black Dragon King faction had destroyed the other three leading dukedom of the Nature Alliance. We are the only one left."

The down casted elves were now in despair. They knew that the power of their dukedom alone was like a tiny ant in comparison to the gigantic Black Dragon King's faction.

"But worry not!"

The voice of their king rose all of a sudden.

"The godkins is willing to take us under their wing. I have pledged loyalty toward them. I hope that everyone here would do the same too."

The elves grew restless when they heard their king's confession. They never knew their situation was that bad. They once again whispered among themselves as they were still at a loss as for what they should do.

"If any of you still had doubt about the powers of the godkins, you guys are free to go to the palace entrance and witness the power of those godkin yourself. That's all I can say."

It didn't take long for the elves to rush toward the palace entrance to witness the prowess of godkins by themselves. They believed the word of their king but their pride forbid them from lowering their head. They need to at least experience firsthand the power of those godkins for them to submit willingly. The elf king let out a small sigh as more and more elves left his side leaving the previously crowded middle hall of the palace empty.

---------------------

Those gold ranked insane bosses who stood in front of Mays and his companions put up their guard when the aura of Mays and the other two erupted all of a sudden. Their aura was now comparable to a weak gold ranked insane boss.

"So, what's the plan?"

Hallel who was pumped up after getting the buff asked in anticipation. It became a habit of hers now to asked for Mays permission as he always orchestrated the battlefield as he wanted. His talent as a master strategist was without doubt.

"Too lazy to think of one. Let's just go with chaotic melee. Sounds good?"

"HAAA??"

Mays unexpected answer shocked Hallel. Truth be told, she never fight a battle together with Mays but she already gotten used to being ordered around by him. Maybe because she never experienced a team fight before, she wondered how it felt like to be part of a team. Plus, Mays never neglected her existence. She was sure that Mays would give her a good role in team fight.

"I don't mind as long as I'm fighting by your side."

Obviously Ria wouldn't refute what Mays suggested. Even when Mays said so, he would still command the army regardless. His chaotic melee meant that it was a free fight for them, they could target whoever they wanted as long as the situation permitted. Mays would only take control if something unexpected happened.

"Ria, bring them all."

"Hehe, okay."

From her space belt, Ria took out dozens of spirit rod and activated them at once just to make a grand entrance. She felt that it was a must to intimidate others, especially the enemies.

It didn't take long before spatial crack appeared all over them. All the gold ranked bosses were alerted by what was happening. It was after all a rare occurrence for a space crack to appear, multiple of them even. Even the Red Dragon King observed the situation with great interest.

One after another, fighters clad in either red or pink walked out from the space crack. Be it warriors, mages, hunters or even healers, they all had one thing in common, a badge with burning red horned skull insignia on them.

A total of three hundred and eighty three spirits to be exact. This number of fully geared fighter would without doubt plant fear in those who faced them. Only around two hundred of them were over level eighty though, the rest were within level fifty to eighty.

Two hundred fifty was the total number of spirits a player could collect in HeavensTale. That was the same number as the slots available in archive for spirits. Someone like Mays obviously kept just one of them each but Ria was different.

She even kept useless items in her space belts. Thanks to her incredibly large inventory space, she had basically never tossed away anything she got from monster drop. Because of that same reason, she had over one thousand spirit eggs inside her space belt. If not because she already took out every gear she had, she might even summon more spirits.

"How did you even level these extras?"

Not just those gold ranked insane bosses, even Mays who stayed with Ria at Neverrain Mountain never knew the exact number of spirits Ria had.

"I just let my four generals took em all over the continent hehe."

It was obvious that Ria wouldn't be the one who trained them. She would rather stay all day in her room than doing something that tedious. Hallel who stood close to them was still shocked senseless by the amount of spirits Ria had. She thought someone like Mays who had five spirits was already a rich player she couldn't compare. Never in her wildest dream that she would one day saw someone who owned hundreds of spirit.

"With this many spirits, this fight was in the bag already."

"Hehe I know right. Be sure to reward me after this fight okay."

''Whatever you wish, my queen.''

''Hehe.''

Without minding the situation they were in right now, both Mays and Ria acted as if they were in the middle of a picnic. It was soon interrupted by Hallel who was obviously jealous at Ria.

''Enough with the flirting. Focus on the fight.''

''Someone is jealous hehehe."

''As if!!''

Knowing that she couldn't refute, Hallel shifted her attention back at those gold ranked insane bosses who stood in front of them. It was quite admirable for them to just wait there without attacking when Mays and his companions was in the middle of idle conversation.

''Why aren't you guys attacking?''

Hallel who was still pissed at Mays and Ria asked in annoyed tone. Since she couldn't do anything about those two lovebirds, she could only release her pent up anger on those innocent bosses who happened to be nearby.

"Do the like of you people worthy for me to do so?"

It was once again the Red Dragon King himself who replied. He was known for his pride. As old as he was, he would never lower himself to the same level of these hot-headed youngsters. He was not afraid at all even when these hundreds spirits came out from the space crack.

They only have the strength of intermediate bosses. It never mattered how many them were. A group of sheep was still sheep's in the end. The reason why he was pissed at these people was because how they acted. They dared to ignored someone like him when he already talked to them previously. How humiliating was that?

''Don't regret it later, old man.''
