Kapitel 2018: Take a look in the young master's room

The bathroom door was shut with a dull thud.

Shen Manting's heart trembled silently.

She walked out of the room with the infant in her arms and sat on the sofa in the living room.

Mrs. Shen was in her pajamas, sipping water from the cup in her hand.

When she saw Shen Manting enter the living room, she shifted her spot to sit in front of her.

She glanced at the infant and asked with a smile, "Are you comfortable being back at home?"

Shen Manting lowered her head and smiled awkwardly. "I'm doing fine."

"We're a family, Manting. I'm really fond of you. Don't be too cautious at home. You're a nice girl. I believe even the baby doesn't want you to be too harsh on yourself." Mrs. Shen set the cup down and looked at her. "We welcome you home. You're very welcome to come back home. Forget all the unpleasant memories."

"All right."

Shen Manting answered in a low voice. Then, she continued holding the infant in silence.
