After the long journey, the group arrived at the Grand Canyon Hotel.
"This is where we're going to stay. The man you're looking for Elaia is not a simple man to find." Akira said.
Elaia turned to her then asked, "What do you mean?"
"She means that Arthur isn't an ordinary guy you can just ask to hang around, grab a coffee and talk. He's someone like us but just mortal." Akila explained.
Elaia nodded.
Vainos then placed his arm around Akila and said, "Well, we, servants better be going. I'm kinda feeling like our Masters need some help in their respective kingdoms. But we'll be back this evening!"
Akila rolled her eyes, "Oh, don't bother coming back."
"Heh, I know you'll miss me hunnybunch." Vainos flirted.
"Ew. Is that supposed to be a sweet talk? Because whenever it comes from you it's more disgusting than rotten eggs." Akira said.
"So you like eggs huh?"
Akira punched Vainos' left shoulder.
"Hey. Easy girl! I gotta go. Please pretend to miss me." Then Vainos disappeared after giving Akira a flying kiss.
Elaia couldn't help but chuckle, "Does he like you?"
"Yes. And No. He likes to get in my nerves. And not the like like thingy."
"You don't say." Akila butted in as he gave Akira his charming smirk.
"Oh my gosh. Is that a smirk? Or the face you make when mother nature is calling you for a poop?" Akira teased.
"For heaven's sake, Akira! Be nice with me. Even just a little kindness would do."
Akira blurted out a laugh and patted Akila's shoulder, "Dear brother. You always forget that you're serving hell. Stop asking for heaven's pity." Then Akira walked away while playing with her hotel room keys.
Akila turned to Elaia and whined, "You know, sometimes I wanna kill my sister. But I'm 99.9% sure that she'll be going to hell. And that would make hell a lot more hellish. So do me a favor, Elaia. Stop me whenever I start planning her funeral."
Then Akila disappeared.
The moment that Akila was gone. Elaia turned around. She didn't notice that D disappeared from her side because she was too preoccupied by the public display of "affection" of the siblings and Vainos.
She looked around then someone tugged her hand. Because she was not ready by the sudden force of the tug, she was immediately pulled into the chest of a man.
As she looked up, she saw D with his signature smirk.
D then said, "Looking for me?"
Elaia blushed and coughed awkwardly, "As if!"
"Whatever helps you sleep well at night." D said then he winked.
"Thoughts of you." Elaia said.
"What about me?"
"That's what helps me sleep well at night."
It's now Elaia's turn to wink then she left D dumbfounded.
As D recovered from Elaia's flirtatious statement, he chuckled. Then he thought, well, she got him there.
A point for Elaia, indeed.
