Noodletown_ To those that doubted Huo Mian's EQ, tbh, there are always going to be exceptions that make us act out of character. For instance, Huo Mian can be smart, but she's going to be clueless when it comes down to a situation where she basically had to choose between family or the love of her life.
As for Qin Chu, he could be this perfect emperor with no vulnerabilities, yet he could something this stupid because of Huo Mian.
No one's perfect, and there are times when outsiders can see the situation clearer than the person that's actually involved, because they could analyze it logically. But when you are actually involved, all these emotions will jump into the way of you making the logical decision.
