Kapitel 1: The Beginning of the End.

A boy was dangling his body off a cliff, inches away from the edge.

should he just end it?

it would be the easier way after all.

his eyes scanned the large forest, before sighing.

his name was Eli, with no second name.

his poverty meant he couldn't buy a pokemon, not even a rattata.

his parents died young, with his father impregnating his mother, who was a prostitute who died of an STD when he was 11.

he was now 14, and in an act of desperation, he joined the local evil team, team galactic.

he was given a rattata and put into a large island, where 100 contestants would go in and do a battle royale.

which of course, landed him here.

his rattata was quickly killed, but he still survived.

his power, however, was something he had gained from all of the hatred.

a red mist came out of his fingertips, but the boy quickly retreated from it and hopped back into a tree.

slowing down his breathing, the boy examined the group of 3 that had come.

the children were all 14-year-olds, and they were recruits. only 10 of the 100 could remain, and then they would get elevated to the position of grunt

the boy's eyes flickered to the pokemon who were at their side

A stunky, a Rattata and a koffing that examined the location wearily.

all they were given when they got on the island was 3 days worth of food, some clothes and a Pokeball, which was a pokemon that was randomly selected.

he was 6 days in, and they were meant to stay in here for a month.

they seemed to be looking for him as they all decided to spread around the area, searching for someone.

the boy had killed a boy, and he recognized the leader of the group had been there when he killed him, high chances are that he came here for revenge.

the boys smile slowly became twisted, a hint of madness present in a flicker of his eyes.

arent situations like this exciting?

to see someone chasing you? and you need to adapt or they would kill you?

slowly hanging from the tree, the agile and lean boy slowly ran across the treetops, causing the leaves to ruffle

"He's over there!" one of them shouted at their leader, who looked up in response

"Rattata use quick attack!" Although Rattata is a fast pokemon with good speed, this one seemed incredibly malnourished, causing Eli to click his tongue.

twisting over with his dagger, the boy swiped at the rattata

the rattata's teeth came into contact with the dagger, but the boy used his left foot to boot the rat on the tree trunk, before brutally stabbing it ten times over with his knife

"Die! Die! Die!"

the rattata's life was already lost. its eyes showing an expression of distorted pain

the dead couldn't die anymore.

the 14-year-olds looked at the psycho with a twisted expression, before dispersing into the forest

the boy wiped up the blood splatters that had covered his face and sung a melody that his mother taught him before picking up the dead Rattata and slowly jumping down, picking up the Pokeball that belonged to Rattata before dispersing into the forest

"That's dinner sorted." The boy muttered, walking around the large forest before finding a small cave that seemed to be uninhabited.

the Galatic member had wiped up all of the strong pokemon, but some level 15 people may remain on the island.

the boy quickly started a fire, before impaling the rattata with a stick and slow cooking it by twirling the stick now and then

the smell of roasted meat came into the cave, causing the boy to instantly eat it.

although the rattata didn't hold much meat nor fat, the boy still couldn't help but moan after the constant diet of berries.

finishing his meal, the boy looked at the cave.

an unexpected visitor had come, obviously attracted by the meat.

looking at the Starly that had flown in the cave, the boy simply smiled.

after determining what to do, the boy decided not to stay in the cave. the smell of meat may attract some unwanted visitors, so the boy quickly left

cleaning his dagger while humming, the boy quickly saw a boy who was with his koffing, giving commands.

the boy hid in the bushes and saw that they were training.

the koffing had been spamming poison gas upon the tree, making the large tree show signs of the withering of where the gas had made contact with the bark.

the poison gas power meant that the koffing had good potential, probably just around silver rank in potential.

the potential of pokemon are ranked in

Low bronze, bronze, high bronze, low silver, silver, high silver, etc.

bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond and then champion.

don't even look at the last one. only mythical pokemon and legendary's can dream of reaching that potential.

all pokemon can raise their potential, but it spikes every time you raise it. if you say, you feed your gastly a kilogram of poisonous gas and it reaches high bronze, 5 kg of poisonous gas is required to reach silver.

the gap between potential isn't small either. the ability to learn moves, the power to get stronger quicker and certain aspects like training in speed and power are all determined by the potential of the pokemon.

The silver tier was great, and it had a high potential to be strong.

the boy nodded his head.

and such, the boy waited for the boy.

the snake waits for its prey, afterall.
