Cole crowned himself the new king, not even bothering with the officials anymore. No matter how the public protested, he successfully became king. He also invoked an imperial edict, according to which anyone who dared to go against him would receive a death sentence.

At first, a few courageous people wanted to go against him, but they were all given a public death sentence. After that, no one dared to say a word against him.

Even though they would secretly ridicule the king, the voices died over time when Cole reduced taxes and even gave out free grains to the public every month. Slowly, praises of the newly crowned king spread around the place without delay. They all forgave him for doing good for the people.

Even the officials who were originally against Cole couldn't utter a single word against him.
