Meier exited the operation theater full of blood, but also brimming with a smile. 

He wanted to leap to Paige and hug her when the leading doctor bellowed for him to first change his clothes and wash himself.

Drooping, Meyer turned on his heels and disappeared into the changing rooms.

Paige smiled and waited patiently. Being a doctor was apparently really the best occupation for a sociopath.

When Meier came out again, he hugged her with great force.

"It went well!" He boasted while not letting go of her at all.

He had to take the chance now that Paige was finally without Lance - so he didn't care what the reason for this was. 

The most important thing was that he had Paige all to himself now.

"Good job." She squeezed him a bit before freeing herself.

"Yes! It was a bit tricky when…" He started to throw some medical words around him while leading her downstairs to his driver waiting.
