Kapitel 150: Testing the abilities

"Do you remember that time when I first noticed something, some strange behavior of their shields at the family dinner?" Rick looked at me, then moved his eyes away and focused on something behind my back. I turned around, saw that he focused his eyes on Jared and Jace who were listening to Markus explaining something about the fire control, and turned back to Rick. His red shining eyes moved at me again.

"When Jared's eyes turned red, and he almost blew the bottle of blood with the look of his eyes, and Jace blocked his mind at that moment?" I asked, then saw him frowning his eyebrows, "That was your theory."

"I know. I was mistaken."

It was my turn to arch an eyebrow. 

"Are you going to say it was Jared's shield that worked at the same time when Jared used the fire?"

Rick nodded, then crossed his hands tightly on his chest.
