Donald was devastated when he heard Edie cry out for Stuart. Her words struck him like a thunderbolt. He could feel his heart thumping in his chest and temples. Donald could barely utter a coherent word. And finally, he thought, 'Edie really doesn't love me anymore. He knew to lose his memory had broken her heart. But for so long, he believed that Edie was only with Stuart to make him jealous.

Donald had always thought they were destined to be together. From the sickening look on his face, the realization was hitting him hard. He felt as though someone had stabbed an icicle into his heart, so sharp and cold. Swallowing past a hard lump in his throat, Donald gathered his thoughts and looked at Edie and Stuart. He wanted Stuart to disappear, but in his heart, he knew that was going to happen.
