Chapter 11: Good Bye
It took me a while to process it, but I did and then firmly said, "I really want to agree with you right now, but unfortunately I can't. All this is just too soon." "What is it Y/N, what is stopping you? Is it because you don't stay in Seoul? Don't worry we will make arrangements for it. Is it about your teaching career, well we will make sure you get a job in the best University in Seoul. Your training time arrangements will also be made accordingly. Your talent is a gem, am surprised how you kept it hidden for so long. But don't anymore. Let it shine. Let us help you." Mr. Lee said.I sighed deeply and thought, well he is right. Fuck it lets do this! Then I said "Alright, let's do this." To this they got really happy. "But I cannot start training tomorrow. I need some time to settle things" I said. To this they agreed.
I walked in the hotel room. Eun Ji came running to me. "Tell me everything right now! Tell me you said yes!" she said squeezing my arms. I nodded with a smile. She hugged me so tight I couldn't breathe. This time Heo Jun joined as well. "I am so happy for you Y/N. Trust me this is probably the best decision you've taken. It will help you to get over your past as well." He said. "So wait does this mean you are going to shift in Seoul now? Will you be leaving school as well?" Eun Ji asked me almost tearing up. "I don't really have a choice Eun" I said to her. "I understand" she said. "But you better not forget us!" "No way! Is that even possible?" I said and we all laughed.
We went back once the workshop was done. Next day I went to school, gave my resignation letter and did all the other formalities. Everybody was very sad and made me promise that I will frequently visit them. That night we all had like a celebratory dinner at my house. Even my neighbors came. They were happy to hear the news, but, again sad that I was leaving. I told them I won't be selling my house there. So I would visit frequently.
"Where will you be staying in Seoul?" Eun asked me as she helped me clean up after the dinner. In my house" I said. "You mean that one?" she asked me with a look of surprise on her face. "Yes that one, I don't want to stay anywhere else. I will be comfortable there." I said. "You sure?" she asked me putting a hand on my shoulder. "Yes, don't worry! I'll be fine", I said.
After making sure I packed everything well, I went to bed. Eun was asleep already. I laid down. I couldn't really sleep well I kept thinking about what was going to happen. Was my decision right? Will I regret it later? Well whatever, at least I will get to live my long lost passion. It's worth it!
