Chapter 17: Chapter 17 (Another date?)
She pulled up her short skirt and stood to grab her well-cleaned Jordan stars sneakers.
“This feels like a date, is this part of the show? Or does he just wants to treat me to good food”.
Alexandra thought as she searched through her closet for a nice shirt.
It would be winter soon and it might get chilly.
She grabbed a shirt and her white hoodie.
Eun Kyung opened her eyes gently to see Alexandra brushing her hair, her soft groan made Alexandra turn her face.
“Hey what time did you sleep yesterday? This is almost eleven and you are still on the bed.
Alexandra said as she grabbed her plush shoulder bag then wear it around her neck.
“You look so good and smell nice, where are you going?”, Eun Kyung asked in a low tone.
She suddenly thought back to what Alexandra had told her last night.
“Oh Right Ha Joon”, Eun Kyung added.
Alexandra was all ready to go, she chuckled softly and looked at Eun Kyung, still laying on the bed while staring at her.
“Right... We are just going to eat, nothing else... I will see you later huh? Get up and shower... I can smell your dirty body from here”.
Eun Kyung sat up.
“Yes right just to eat, me and Lee min ate a lot too you know, a whole lot”, Eun Kyung said while making silly faces at Alexandra.
“Bye...”.
Alexandra sharply said before walking out of the room.
“What? Now I feel like a bad person, this is what happens when your roommate is pure”, Eun Kyung said, she gently rose from the bed and stretched her arms.
“Still can’t believe those two, I never knew Ha Joon has a thing for blonde”, she mumbled.

Ha Joon did not know he had a thing for a blonde till that night he called Alexandra out for the proposal, the way the moon’s reflection made it brighter and, how she tucked her hair to the back of her ear.
He couldn’t keep his eyes off her hair since that night and seeing her coming towards him right now, while her hair shines so brightly under the sun almost melted his heart.
Alexandra could feel her palm getting sweaty, she gulped as she approached him.
“I get so nervous whenever I see him, but this is different, I am panicking! Get yourself together Alexandra.... Is it because I dressed up again? Will he like it? Am I doing too much? Why is he staring at me that way, does he think I look like a clown”.
“Alex! Hey”.
Alexandra suddenly got back to reality, she was standing in front of him while glaring.
“You zoomed off”, Ha Joon said almost chuckling, “is there something in my eyes?” He asked.
”Oh shit… I have been staring at him?” She muttered and looked away feeling embarrassed.
He noticed how red her cheeks had gotten.
Ha Joon snorted softly, he looked down at her hand and without hesitating, he held them.
She looked up at him and down at their hands locking together.
“let us go… I am sure the fish cake is ready by now”, he said.
”Fish cake?…” Alexandra thought he mentioned restaurant but that does not matter to her at the moment.
Her heart flutters at how his hand held her tightly to avoid slipping away.
She smiled and kept walking side by side with him.
The sweet aroma coming from
a street vendor from a close distance made Alexandra’s stomach grumble for a bite.
Still holding hands, they both arrived and immediately saw the old woman smiling excitedly.
“Oh you are here, welcome my handsome boy”, the woman said in an excited tone.
Ha Joon bent his head slightly.
“Hello, grandmother... How have you been?”, He answered.
Alexandra noticed how comfortable he was with her, she always thought he was mean to everyone but it seems not.
She immediately saw the woman’s eyes on her.
“Grandmother, this is Alex... She is a new student in our school”, Ha Joon introduced.
“Hello Grandmother”, Alexandra greeted with a slight head bow.
The woman chuckled excitedly, she stare at Ha Joon and then back to Alexandra, her suddenly brightened eyes said it all.
Alexandra could tell she was overthinking, all mother does when they see two opposite gender together.
“Here take some fish cake... I just made them, I am sure you two would love it... Eat up”.
Ha Joon and Alexandra picked a stick each.
“Eat up”, Ha Joon whispered to Alexandra and gave her a warm smile.
The more Alexandra eat, the more stick she want, forgetting she was supposed to act shy and cute around Ha Joon, she asked for more sticks and ate it so heartily.
Still on his second stick, Ha Joon stared down at how many sticks Alexandra has eaten.
The woman saw Ha Joon’s eyes on Alexandra, she smiled and turned her face to the girl.
“I am sure you are enjoying it, eat more eat more”, she encouraged.
Alexandra nodded her head quickly, she grabbed two sticks.
“Thank you grandmother, this taste so mild and sweet... It is so delicious, I have never had anything like it”, she said as she took another steamed bite.
Ha Joon could not keep his eyes off her, he had almost chuckled when he remembered how embarrassed she looked the last time he snorted while she was eating.
He smiled and looked away while eating his fish cake gently.
After a short while, Alexandra got full.
She smiled jovially at the woman.
“I am so full, I didn't even eat much....”, Alexandra said, she looked down at the table and saw the amount of fish cake she had eaten.
She smiled nervously and looked at the woman then up at Ha Joon who was trying hard not to smile.
“I didn't know I ate this many sticks... I guess I was so hungry”, Alexandra said while chuckling nervously.
“A girl that eats a lot is always strong and healthy, good job Alex, come back again someday...”, the woman encouraged the girl.
Ha Joon paid and was getting ready to leave with Alexandra when the woman called him back.
“Tell your grandmother I will bring her more vegetables today, unfailingly”.
Alexandra looked up at Ha Joon as he nodded and smiled at the woman.
“Grandmother? Ha Joon has a grandmother...”, she thought as they both walked away.
There was a short time silence between them as they walked side by side.
Hands separated.
Alexandra has so many questions to ask him but what came out of her mouth was.
“I enjoyed the fish cake and the grandmother was nice too, I am glad”.
He glanced at Alexandra and smiled as he kept walking.
“I am glad you do, you should eat as much as you want anytime you feel like it, you look more pretty when you eat”, he answered.
“More pretty...” she muttered and blushed.
Ha Joon never wanted her to get embarrassed when she is with him, Alexandra acting naturally whenever he is around makes his heart happy for some reason.
“She looks so shocked when she saw me with you”, Alexandra said.
Ha Joon nodded softly.
“Yes, you are the first girl she would see with me, I usually go eat by myself”, Ha Joon answered while looking at Alexandra.
His stare does things she can't explain to her, Alexandra felt her face turning red.
She looked away and smiled to herself.
“I am the first girl”, she thought and immediately turned red.
He noticed how she smiled and how her face got lightened up by the street view.
“It is so beautiful here”, she whispered to herself.
“Oh my God who is that, is he an idol?”
“Is that his girlfriend next to him”
The word seeped through Alexandra’s ear as some high school girls walked past them
She scoffed and kept walking.
Her eyes caught a toy grabber machine from a short distance, she gasped softly and turned to Ha Joon.
“Heyy let us try that”, she said and immediately trotted toward it.
She got there and looked back at Ha Joon who was now approaching her.
“I have never tried this”, she said.
“‘Me neither, and I am not doing that... Looks childish”, he responded.
“Let us try it... I have a coin in my bag”, Alexandra said as she tried reaching for it.
Ha Joon noticed a couple arriving at the machine next to them, he saw how the guy immediately dip coin in the toy grabber, ready to get his girlfriend a toy.
“I will do it...” Ha Joon suddenly
said, he dipped in a coin and noticed Alexandra’s eyes on him but he ignored it.
“I thought you did not know how to...”
“Shhhh! let me focus”, he said and dimmed his eyes trying to pick a stuffed bear.
“Gently... Yes you are doing it”, Alexandra encouraged Ha Joon but a second after, it fell back in.
The other couple had gotten themselves a stuffed toy and were ready to leave.
“It's a shame he can't do that even though he is got a pretty face”, the guy said as he walked away with his girlfriend.
Alexandra let out a light scoff.
“You have an ugly face and grabbing a toy is all you are good at...” she said out loud enough for the couple to hear.
They looked back and kept walking.
“So annoying”, she muttered and immediately saw Ha Joon’s eyes on her.
It was that stare again, the stare she could not resist.
Alexandra could not tell what it was but he looked at her so intensely and seductively at the same time.
Her heart started beating fast out of nowhere as they both locked eyes.
“What is going on?” she thought.
“ALEX?”.
The familiar voice broke the eye contact, Alexandra knew that voice.
She turned and saw Kate standing in front of her.
“Kate?.... What are you...” Alexandra asked in surprise.
Something was going on between her and Ha Joon that she could not explain, and right now Kate had broken it.
Alexandra's heart was pounding so fast that she thought she was going to pass out, thanks to Kate.
Kate’s eyes met Ha Joons’.
“I was just coming from Jake’s apartment when I saw your hair from afar, I would always recognize it...” Kate said smiling.
“Oh shit Ha Joon is here!!!, what do I tell Kate”, Alexandra thought as she looked back at Ha Joon.
Ha Joon could tell they were sisters, the little resemblance made it obvious.
“Are you not going to introduce me to him?”.
“Huh... Yeah, ummm”, Alexandra nervously stuttered.
He took a step closer and bowed slightly.
“Hi... I am Ha Joon..” he said in his usual calm voice.
Alexandra saw Kate’s “tell me more” eyes.
She chuckled nervously and was about to speak when Ha Joon stretched his hand toward Kate.
“I am Alexandra’s boyfriend”.
Alexandra’s eyes got brightened.
Her shocked eyes met Ha Joon’s smiling eyes.
