Chapter 16: Chapter 16 (Hidden Lies 2)
Eun Kyung jumped toward her roommate.
Alexandra smiled downwardly and bulged her lips.
“How? When? Where? DON’T JUST SIT SMILING AT ME... GIVE ME THE FULL STORY PLEASE”, Eun Kyung said almost yelling.
She quickly sat on the ground facing Alexandra.
Alexandra was not surprised by Eun Kyung’s reaction, she expected it.
“How did you do it? How did you two?... Ha Joon and you?..”
Alexandra stared at the door, worried people might hear her loud roommate.
“You are too loud... Do you want those girls to come for me? I do not want to be hunted down”, Alexandra whispered to Eun Kyung.
“Okay okay, I am just so... Wowed”, Eun Kyung responded in a soft tone while her eyes begged Alexandra for gist.
Alexandra sighed.
“Listen... It is all lies okay?, we both planned it, I should not be telling you this but you are my friend... You should know what I am up to”, she said and immediately saw Eun Kyung’s disappointed face.
She stood up and stared at Alexandra.
“Is this about NaNa, is he using you to get back at her?...” Eun Kyung asked.
Alexandra shook her head.
“No... No! That is not the reason, he never mentions NaNa to me... We never talked about her, and earlier today, she saw us together and Ha Joon totally ignored her”.
Eun Kyung listened to her roommate but refused to buy the story, she returned to her sit and said.
“If he is not doing this because of her then why?”, she asked and gradually her eyes brightened as she stared at Alexandra.
Eun Kyung’s lips curved into a smile.
“Is he liking you? Is that the reason?...”.
Alexandra kept quiet for a short while, thinking about what her roommate had said.
“No... I do not think he can like someone like me”, she answered while replaying the thought of her eating.
“He probably thinks I am a weirdo... I should not have eaten that fast, acting as if I am in my bedroom.... Oh God, so embarrassing”, Alexandra thought.
Eun Kyung noticed Alexandra’s squeezed face, she smirked and threw a pen at her.
“Why are you so negative bestie? You are so pretty and I see how guys stare at you when we go out, you don't just have a slim banging body, your eyes are so pretty as well and you have the most beautiful hair ever....” Eun Kyung said as her eyes shifted from Alexandra’s blushing face down her legs.
“And those legs!!! Most models don't have such long hot legs, you are literally so pretty, stop being negative... Guys do not like that, they love when you are confident in yourself, and you my dear are so perfect”.
Alexandra could not control her emotions, she was touched by Eun Kyung’s words.
She smiled widely which instantly turned into a big laugh.
“Oh my God Eun Kyung, that is so sweet”, Alexandra said, and while still smiling she flew to her roommate to give her a tight hug.
“My self-esteem just moved from five to hundred, within two minutes..”, Alexandra added before returning to the bed.
They both looked at each other and instantly tittered.
“Damn I never imagine you two together and now thinking about it, you two will be the cutest couple, damn Alex... You are such a baddie..” Eun Kyung said before grabbing the pen she had thrown at Alexandra.
Alexandra smiled as she lay on the bed.
“I should not be too excited about this, it is all just lies...” she mumbled and got up, ready to have a quick shower.
It was not a quick shower as she planned it to be, half of the time Alexandra was replaying her moment with Ha Joon, as much as she tried to not think about him, he kept on popping into her mind.
She sing, danced, grabbed her hair and hollered.
But the way his cologne seeped into her nose most of the time and how he smiled so warmly at her, would not leave her mind.
“Even his eyes look so calm, Jesus Christ”.
As soon as she stepped out of the bathroom, her phone beeped.
“Ha Joon?”, she thought and hurried to grab her phone from the table.
Eun Kyung watched her half naked roommate smiling down at her phone.
“I can't believe they are dating... Wow”, she whispered and continue doing her assignment.
Alexandra’s assumption was right, it was a message from Ha Joon.
“Are you in your room now? Thank you for today”.
Alexandra’s face lightened up as she read his message, and her cheeks instantly turned red.
Her half-wet towel still wrapped around her body, she sat up gently and tucked some hair behind her ear.
“Yes, I hope you are in your room as well. Thanks for the delicious food, I enjoyed it... Even though I ate yours as well... Forgive me, MIANHAMNIDA”, (meaning sorry).
She hit the sent button and watched it get delivered.
Alexandra smiled and bites her lips softly as she stared down at her phone.
“Seen... He saw it already”, she muttered to herself with a big smile on her face.
Alexandra bites on her fingers as she could see him typing.
“He is typing.... What is he about to say”, she said softly and giggled to herself while wiggling her legs out of excitement.
Eun Kyung who has been watching for a short while snorted.
“My bestie is in love.... Love to see it”, she whispered to herself.
“(smiley face), I like that you enjoyed OUR FOOD”.
Alexandra read his response and immediately giggled out.
MALE DORMITORY
Ho Jun entered and met Ha Joon laying on the bed.
The instant thought of his roommate and Alexandra being together popped up in his mind again, and for some reason, he does not want to believe it is true.
Not realizing Ho Jun has been staring at him since he arrived, Ha Joon chuckled softly as he kept typing another message.
“What? He did not even know I am back?...”, Ho Jun whispered to himself as he stared down at Ha Joon.
“I know this nice place not too far from school, they sell even more delicious food there... You can eat anything you want till you are full.... How about tomorrow?”.
Ha Joon read through his message before hitting the sent button, he smiled when he noticed his message was read immediately.
His side eyes suddenly caught Ho Jun standing a few feet from him.
“Aigoo! You scared me...”.
Ha Joon said and immediately sat up.
“I have been in here for a while now and you didn't even notice”, Ho Jun said as he put down his bag, he turned to Joon and asked.
“Are you really in a relationship with Alex?”.
Ha Joon knew the honest answer to his question but at that moment there was no reason to tell his roommate the truth.
He stared at Ho Jun’s straight face.
“Yes, we are... Do you have a problem with it?”, he answered.
Ho Jun stared down his shoe for a short while, he should not be that angry upon hearing about his roommate’s relationship with Alex.
But strangely he was so furious.
He looked up at Ha Joon who also stared back at him.
“Nothing... No problem at all”, Ho Jun answered as his face lightened up for a second.
Ha Joon ignored his weird roommate, he looked away and immediately got a beep on his phone.
His lips curved into a smile as he read her response.
“SURE, tomorrow it is”.
