Chapter 491: Governor's office, how may I help you?

As soon as the news went around that Scarlet had finally appeared in public again, the governor's building and castle were crowded with all sorts of officials and citizens in different capacities who came with various requests. 

Precious and Fey were overwhelmed with all the "No, she is not in." responses they had to give. 

It was as if everyone had held back their needs and waited for Scarlet to make an appearance. Did those people not know that Esong and Emmett could assist them?

Her office was like a call center this morning with Precious and Fey serving as the call takers filtering out the needful, urgent and foolish.

"Governor's office, how can I help you today?" 

[My marriage license was denied one week ago and I need the governor to explain why.]

"Please contact the civil service bureau, the governor does not handle marriages. Thank you for contacting the governor's office."
