Chapter 79: Terms of the Agreement

Chi Chali's only condition for handing over Wang Ming'an was that Chi He must marry Wen Rushuang. 

This is what he told Chi He: 

"Everyone in the family is worried about your marriage. Since you both are fond of each other, why not settle down sooner? This way, your late brother and sister-in-law can rest in peace." 

Chi Chali's intent to arrange the marriage between Chi He and Wen Rushuang wasn't out of goodwill. 

He had secretly met Wen Rushuang as soon as he learned of their relationship. 

Initially, Wen Rushuang vehemently denied any sort of transactional relationship, insisting that they were genuinely in love and had begun dating naturally. 

Chi Chali didn't believe her and pointed to Zhao Guifang, who was with them, saying, "Chi He knows your aunt belongs to me. He has always been cautious around her. How could he possibly fall for you?" 

Watching Wen Rushuang's expression subtly shift, Chi Chali smiled knowingly.
