Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Rising early, going through his morning ritual, and then putting on his research clothes, respected Richt Charles Ashwood headed for his office at the Richt tower.
The Richt is an organization that explores and conducts research on the nature of their world. Because of the knowledge they have gained through this research, they are not to be trifled with. Prominent families in the Kingdom and even outside of it hold them in high regard because their research has improved magic and thus the lives of the people living in the Kingdom. They are also not associated with the Royal Family because, as an autonomous entity, they are not permitted to suddenly request their reports from them, provided that their research does not cause harm to the citizens of the kingdom.
Having said that, the most successful and respected Richt was actually the mother of the first Prince and Princess, so while they do have autonomy, they directly answer to the Princess. Especially since in some of their research, she serves as the main *cough* lab rat. However, they would never dare refer to the Princess as that; instead, they would prefer to call her a treasure, a treasure trove if you will, since no one in their world has ever been able to travel to another world without being discovered and return unscathed.
Up until the Princess did it, such a thing was unimaginable.
Charles had no idea he was about to receive what the Princess would refer to as a severe beating. Indeed, Vexanna, also known as Hinata, referred to these distinguished Richts as students because they are constantly carrying scrolls and primarily studying indoors. She can also physically discipline them by choosing to stop giving them magic crints and interacting with them, which will cause their research to be delayed.
However, fortunately or unfortunately for him, Vexanna had her hands full—her bed was full in this instance, and she had to take care of it.
It was going to be just another typical morning, complete with stretching, getting dressed, and performing the body's magical cycle. However, this time around, Vexanna had eight people on her bed rather than just herself. Despite the size of her bed, it felt a little small. She tried to get up without waking them up and sat on the armchair across from her bed, but it was obvious that she was unable to scream even though she desperately wanted to. Her thoughts were so consumed with how the Kona the Stray Kids members ended up on her bed that she forgot to even open the window on her left, as is customary.
"I really believed that by leaving quickly, I had prevented it from happening, but it appears that my magic had already left an impression on them. "*Sigh* Was that the reason they accompanied me here?" Vexanna pondered.
Her head then dropped into her palm as she considered her options for handling the crisis: should I go beat Charles for this or should I wait for them to wake up? I mean, who would not panic in such a situation? Maybe I should just wait for them to wake up. But what if they wake up and panic?
Vexanna was so engrossed in her thoughts that she was unaware of the passing of several minutes until she noticed movement among the people in bed. Only then did her thoughts return to the present. Unexpectedly, Hyunjin was the first to awaken (XD). He complained about Changbin clinging to him, why was he positioned between Changbin and Bang Chan, and most importantly, "where am I?" He thought to himself. After looking around, he froze, and she froze too. They stared at each other for a long time before he finally spoke, and she said softly "Please do not to scream," in a nervous smile. However, he did the exact opposite and screamed.
The others moaned and asked him why he had screamed so early in the morning, when his scream startled them. After giving Bang Chan a gentle pat on the cheek, Hyunjin motioned for him to turn to face him. He was initially perplexed as to how he had ended up in Hyunjin's room and, moreover, why everyone was sharing a bed?
He then turned to face the person seated in the chair in front of him at Hyunjin's suggestion. He stared open-mouthed, unsure of how to respond, as there was a girl sitting in front of him who was at least six feet tall, with auburn hair, a straight nose, cherry red lips, and purple eyes. They experienced a mix of bewilderment, amazement, and curiosity in the person seated in front of them.
For an extended period, silence pervaded the air as neither side could decide how to respond. Subsequently, Vexanna chose to take the lead. She greeted them with gusto and a warm smile, to which they responded with a smile that belied their initial surprise. "So, um, did you guys sleep well?" she asked as she began to explain things to them after taking a deep breath. She attempted to strike up a conversation without providing any explanation, so Bang Chan responded, "Um, well, I am feeling well rested." He then turned to look at the others, who nodded, indicating that they felt the same way or that they were just trying to confirm that they had not passed out. Then Bang Chan said, "I hope you did too," to which Vexanna nodded. "Where are we? "And, may I ask who you are and why we are here?"
With an inward sigh, Vexanna realized that the big where, who, and why questions had come straight to her—which makes sense considering that is what anyone would ask in such a circumstance. Then, this time, she answered,
"This is the Kingdom of Kona. My name is Vexanna. Perhaps you remember me as the fan Hinata who came to see you after your performance last night." They gazed at her, opened-eyed. "And finally, you are here because I am that fan."
