Chapter 101: one of the two

THE LIGHT FROM THE BURNING FLAME reflects on Aubrey and Connor, giving them a yellowish tanned look. The two stand perpendicular to the burning body in front of them— their eyes appear swollen and stressed, after having the most terrifying nights of their lives. Having an encounter with the spirit of fear and having it say the words they are so afraid to hear, makes them immobilized mentally. They are stood under the soft glow of the moonlight, which gives the environment a calm and peaceful atmosphere but in real sense, the situation between them all is pure chaos and misery. 

Aubrey's eyes stay glued on the body covered in ashes and flames, "If this isn't Kai then..." She trails, "What is this?"
