Chapter 59: Shadows and Schemes: Chapter 59 "Light" Shackles

Idiot kept his head low, silently fighting against the heavy shackles that weighed him down. It took all of his strength to pull himself up from the ground into a seated position. He was in the midst of a struggle, trying to get used to the heavy, dark chains and shackles that ensnared him.

Principal Kampas observed Idiot in silence, noting his characteristic calm and even indifference. He seemed to accept his inescapable fate without a word of complaint as usual. A cold smirk crept onto Kampas's lips, as if in response to the cool detachment in Idiot's eyes. 

At that smirk, Bread, nestled in Idiot's arms, seemed to sense danger. She burrowed deeper into her cloth cocoon, too frightened to even peek out, her tiny form shivering slightly.

Idiot felt Bread's fear and lifted his heavy hands to gently pat her. But the chains were too heavy, and he could not offer comfort for long.

"Alright, kid! Take this broom and get sweeping," the principal barked.
