Chapter 150: The News Spreads

Lawrence's call in the middle of the night woke up Zyair. He rubbed his eyes and grabbed his phone. He had just gone to sleep amidst chaotic thoughts. Seeing it was Lawrence he knew it must be something urgent.

He received the call with a sleepy, "Hello!"

"It's bad, the news got leaked somehow. It's everywhere," Lawrence's panicked voice came through the speaker and Zyair tensed, sitting up straight.

"What news?"

"Miss Skyla's divorce news. She is being painted as a cheater and a gold digger by Doran's fans. The news is circulating that she is having an affair with you," Lawrence informed him, annoyance very much evident in his voice.

Zyair's whole world shook and all he could think of in that instant was Skyla. The desperate people were going to dig through her life and butcher her character. He threw back his blanket and instantly climbed out of bed.
