Sophia had undoubtedly had worse days in school with the whole population of Eastside high staring and laughing at her, but she had never had an unsettling day as much as she had right now.
Anxiety rippled through her as she still hasn't been able to fully confirm if Tyler was the person she had seen on her way to school, but the knowing looks and the smiles he had darting at her whenever their gaze met tilted her towards believing he might be the one and he was intentionally trying to taunt her. It was either that, or he was consciously trying to get her into trouble just like he had done yesterday.
She had observed the all familiar hateful gaze the class had darted at her when Tyler had said something about talking over lunch.
What was that all about? She wondered. And he had said it with so much ease and authority, like he was expecting her to do just as he had said. She hadn't missed the subtle threat in his tone either.
