"Luo Feng!"
"Luo Feng!"
"Luo Feng!"
...
In the virtual universe, Arena No. 10552.
Around five hours after viewing the Group 18 arena melee, Luo Feng's Group 133 arena melee began in this space. The entire Black Dragon Mountain Empire audience watched in awe as Luo Feng dominated the arena, controlling his Tissot to wield the golden magic sword with unstoppable might, dispatching his opponents with ease. Their enthusiasm burst forth like a wave, thrilled to claim the genius "Luo Feng" as one of their own.
"Luo Feng, this kid's Ruthless, chasing his opponents like a madman," Hong remarked, exhaling sharply.
Wang Yi chuckled slightly. Luo Feng's strength had indeed advanced far beyond historical expectations, and with the success of his Demon Killer clone, he had reached a new pinnacle in power. Yet, he wasn't concerned about Rong Jun; in the end, Rong Jun had not advanced as much as Luo Feng had in these battles.
"Let's see…" Wang Yi checked, seeing that Rong Jun was in Group 161, his arena in No. 10389. In the original history, Rong Jun and Hong competed on the same stage, but this time, fate had separated them.
...
Five days quickly passed. Luo Feng and Hong fought their way through the melees, though Thor wasn't as lucky and was finally eliminated. With his current skill level, even if Thor advanced through the melee, he wouldn't be able to survive the one-on-one battles that awaited.
Even for Hong, the chances weren't favorable.
Only Luo Feng, who had crossed the threshold of the law of origin during the melee, had shown the strength to break into the top 1,000 contenders of the Ganwu universe, making him a celebrated figure within the Black Dragon Mountain Empire. Wang Yi, too, had drawn attention as one of the empire's most promising talents, with his achievements in the Dry Witch Secret Realm extensively promoted, sparking immense pride among Black Dragon Mountain's citizens and admiration among various other empires.
Still, Luo Feng remained low-key. After passing through the ring, he declined all requests for interviews and focused on training for the upcoming one-on-one battles. Hong's mindset was equally steady; for him, growth and new perspectives held more importance than mere victory or defeat.
As the group battles concluded, the Jiuxingwan Community on Black Dragon Mountain Island received two distinguished guests.
"Luo Feng." A familiar voice called out.
"Huh?" The top four on Earth, conversing in the yard, turned toward the source of the voice simultaneously.
It was the white-haired elder Ashfeng, who had previously represented the Black Dragon Mountain Empire. Beside him stood a striking figure: a man with no beard, pale skin, purple eyes, and a third eye centered on his forehead that seemed to emanate an oppressive aura.
Wang Yi furrowed his brow at the sight but quickly relaxed.
The three-eyed figure observed Wang Yi and offered a subtle smile. "Your Highness, it's been a while."
Wang Yi nodded respectfully, "Master Quinz."
This three-eyed man was none other than the immortal being from the Dry Witch Kingdom, Lord Quinz.
"You've been away long enough. The Lord has high expectations of you, so do not grow complacent," Kun Rosha said with a commanding tone.
"Understood, Master Kun Rosha," Wang Yi replied, skillfully shifting the conversation. Though Kun Rosha ranked as an immortal under the Dry Witch Lord, Wang Yi was likely to join the core 'primitive secret realm' of the Virtual Universe Company this time. With that likelihood in mind, he had little reason to fear.
This was likely why Kun Rosha, despite his usual pride, was more courteous toward Wang Yi. Still, the immortal being's inherent arrogance was undeniable.
Kun Rosha turned his gaze toward Luo Feng. "This time, I'm here to deliver a directive from the Lord himself for Luo Feng."
Shocked expressions crossed the faces of Luo Feng and the others.
Wang Yi, however, had expected as much. While Wang Yi's own impressive performance had drawn attention, he was already part of the Dry Witch Secret Realm and thus under its jurisdiction. His participation represented the Black Dragon Mountain Empire, though he himself hailed from the Ganwu royal lineage.
Thus, Quinz had come to meet Luo Feng—a genius who had grasped the fundamentals of the law during the melees. Within the Dry Witch Kingdom, prodigies who reached this level were often immediately taken into the kingdom for cultivation.
Quinz explained that should Luo Feng place among the top 1,000 in the universal rankings and join the Virtual Universe Company as a core member, the Ganwu Universe Country would reward him richly. If he didn't, he would still be accepted into the Dry Witch Secret Realm for focused training.
Kun Rosha doubted Luo Feng's capacity to rank among the top 1,000, but the message remained clear.
After Kun Rosha's departure, Lord Ashfeng congratulated Luo Feng before also leaving.
"An immortal coming in person to deliver a message to Luo Feng? It seems the Ganwu Universe Kingdom has high hopes for him," Thor observed.
Wang Yi smiled. Although Kun Rosha had his doubts, he underestimated Luo Feng's true strength. With Luo Feng's current capabilities, it was a near-certainty that he would break into the top 1,000 and secure his place with the Virtual Universe Company.
But Hong…
Wang Yi glanced subtly at Hong, who had been silent all along. Although Hong had qualified for the second round of one-on-one battles, he hadn't ranked within the top 1,000 in the Ganwu Universe Country and hadn't comprehended the original law, making him relatively invisible to the Dry Witch Universe's eyes.
Luo Feng's significance stemmed from his mastery of the law of origin, a skill that marked an enormous leap in strength and progression. Hong knew that unless something extraordinary happened, he would likely remain outside the Universe Kingdom's top ranks.
Resigned but reflective, Hong continued his quiet contemplation, while Wang Yi and the others left, leaving Luo Feng in silence to gather his thoughts.
