Chapter 141: The King's Offer

Alaric didn't know what to make of King Frederick just sitting on the couch, munching on some grapes. He was, by far, the most powerful human Alaric had ever met, and he was chilling out.

Alaric tried to think of some options, he could run, and his whole plan would be ruined. He could fight, but he wasn't sure he could defeat King Frederick if the king had the intention to kill him.

Alaric was beyond frustrated! He had meant to see the king discreetly, and this ruined his whole plan. If he's caught, then it all backfires.

The king waved his hand, "I can see the inner turmoil thing you've got going on, but you can relax. I do know why you're here, after all." He popped another grape in his mouth.

Alaric took a deep breath, "what do you know?"

The king chuckled, "the diplomats came here literally just a day before you, and they warned me of you possibly making an attempt on my life. They said you had gone crazy and wanted to take over the world. That true?"
